- Canal Taxi Boat rides in Bangkok are cheap and fast. Join me for a boat ride from Pratunam Pier (Interchange) to Phanfa Leelard Pier. From Phanfa Leelard, you can walk to Golden Mount, Giant Swing and Old Town. That will be covered in future videos. Along the canal, you will see beautiful graffiti art, bridges and local homes. Thanks for joining me for this experience 😀

Awesome to watch, really great vlog. Thanks for sharing and have a great day 🙏🏽😁
Thanks for watching
*I have experience once. But it was so hard to go deep into the local village and come out. I remember having a hard time because I couldn't communicate. By the way, I think this Canal boat taxi is very cheap and nice public transportation.**9:40**💯💯👍👍14*
You have been on this canal boat taxi before. It must have been an interesting trip. Glad that you like this video. Thanks.
Just remember to keep your ticket while transferring from the Eastern route to the Western one. You don't have to buy a second ticket!
I didn't know that I needed to change boat on my first trip. Luckily I kept my ticket with me.
Amazing! What an incredible way of looking at the world. Thank you so much for the fresh perspective. : )
A fresh perspective indeed. Thanks my friend.
Lovely boat ride my friend great scenery to enjoy 👍❤️🙏
The canal scenes are beautiful. Especially the graffiti art. Glad you enjoyed the ride 😀
Thank you for sharing this wonderful boat ride tour. It’s a great way to experience local lifestyle 👍🏼🤩
Travelling alone has it's advantages. You can go wherever you like without having to convince your travelling companion. I had always wondered how it was like to travel on the canals. Now I know, and it was a wonderful experience and a great way to experience local lifestyle. Thanks for the Like.
Such a wonderful boat ride. A great way to experience the city! So many cool and interesting scenes along the way. Thank you for taking us along friend!
I love Thailand and try my best to capture and share my experiences. Thanks my friend.
If you can still remember, how long was the travel from Pratunam to Panfa Leelard? We're planning on going to the Golden Mount early in the morning. We're thinking about using this mode of transportation instead of using the train system.
I can't remember. I checked with Microsoft Copilot (AI) and the reply is 16 mins 😀
A very interesting (and cheap!) way to get around. Thank you for showing this.
The canal scenes are beautiful. Especially the graffiti art. This is a side of Bangkok that tourists will not get to see. It's also a cheaper and faster way to travel in the city.
How do you know when you have arrived at your intended stop/pier? Do they announce it?
My destination was Phanfa - the last stop where everybody has to get out. I wouldn't know where to get off if I were to get off mid way. From Phanfa I walked to the Golden Mount, Giant Swing and the Old Town.
Why are so many RUclipsrs copying each other with the same mistake?
They are ferries, not "taxis". I have used them for 14 years.
In Bangkok, these are known as river taxis.

No, that's completely wrong.
As I said, I have used them for 14 years & my Thai girlfriend I have known all that time agrees with me.
It's a canal also, not a river.
@@jackstarr4726 You must be right since you live there. Thank you.

Cheers 🥂
Beautiful walk tour friend.. Peace from INDONESIA ✌️🇮🇩
Thanks my new friend. You have an interesting channel.
Nice experience riding on the boat with you.
Thank you my friend. Glad you enjoyed it.
Wow beautiful tour.. good evening
Thank you my friend 😀
What is the best idea to replace that transparent plastic screen. It also ruin the view esp those who r recording n snapping pics throughout the historic water routes
They need to use plastic screens because the canal waters are polluted and black in colour. It will splash when boats pass each other. It's also for keeping out the rain. The operators should replace the screens periodically but would they? I don't think so. These are fast and cheap transport for locals.
The best way to take pictures is to stand at the entry and exit point with the agreement of the boat conductor.
Are they available the whole day?
The schedule is here thaiest.com/thailand/bangkok/khlong-boat
You can also google Thaiest.com for the info
Is it very smelly considering it is sewage water?
Yes it was smelly at some stretches of the canal. The water is severely polluted.
The best way to pass the heavy traffic in Bkk
The journey is fast. Great if your destinations are along this route. Thanks for your comment.
Wonderful tour! ❤
Thank you my friend 😀
