One of (If not the best) Lego Star Wars MOCs I have seen so far. Highly, highly impressed. Seeing all of these fantastic MOCs were definitely responsible for why i got into collecting Lego Star Wars.
All of the detail of an Ultimate Collector set with the playability and features of a play set? You, Admiral Doomhandle, are a tactical and marketing GENIUS!
This Tyrant and Mon Calamari are the best Lego Builds I have ever seen in my life. You, sir, are an artist, engineer, creator and in some way freaking genious. Thank you for your work and for sharing. You alone have made a huge impact in Lego and in SW community. Bravo!
I saw this a few days ago in an article on a FaceBook page (can't remember which one). Absolutely amazing; beyond words. After I picked up the recent Star Destroyer about a year ago and saw how they kind of made it smaller, I thought to myself, "I should make my own that's big with a big interior that I like." I never knew how on Earth to start it and now I have your absolutely incredible creation to aspire to. I love the level of detail and it's awe inspiring to see how much thought you put into it. Thanks for the inspiration and if it means anything I look forward to seeing any future MOCs you may do.
+ShotgunDolphin Thanks! All the feedback that I have received on the Tyrant has been exceptionally kind. I'm glad it's an inspiration. I'm sure a lot of people have already seen the pictures elsewhere, since quite a few websites featured them, but I thought I'd put some of them together in a RUclips slide show just in case.
Danny Andrews well it may sounds like a joke but just because I am a trekkie it doesn't mean I don't like Star Wars I never said Star Wars is bad I just say Star trek is better
Yeah, I'm building a Star Destroyer of a more manageable size to put on rebrickable w/ instructions -- it'll be like a 37-inch, ~7k-piece version of the Tyrant. But the Tyrant itself is 20k+ pieces, 70 lbs -- just isn't feasible to make instructions for something like that. If you want to stay updated, I'd recommend subscribing or following me on Flickr.
+doomhandle Thx so much! I'm designing a star wars themed gaming room and i need a center piece. You Lego Tyrant is fucking AMAZING! The best feature is the interior so pls stick to your amazing skill and give this small version some interior love. Fuck the lego version of the star destroyer, it cries at the sight of this beast!
I know this is 3 years old but I’m just now seeing this. Wow this is screen ready! You could use this in a film and no one would know its legos. Well done!
Pretty much the best lego build Ive seen so far, not because of its big, but its detailed plus has interior design aswell. Barely any other lego design has a care for the interior. Very well made.
Happened upon this page and your work. Absolutely stellar builds. The Tyrant is beyond impressive. Not a Lego guy, but this would get me to spend 4 figures on a lego if it was a kit.
Holy cow with the detail AND interior AND vehicles AND accuracy to the movies. I want this as a base for my figs but my friends will destroy it in 2 seconds lol
This is just.... Wow. Just wow. If I had the instructions and pieces for this.... How is it even possible to build something like this!? How long did it take to make it?!
You are amazing. I very much look forward to seeing that Mon Calamari cruiser you mentioned in your conference showcase. Incredible engineering, artistry, and fun.
Thanks! It took about a year. Also, I wouldn't worry too much about the clicks. It got picked up by some news and pop culture websites, so a lot of people have probably seen the Tyrant elsewhere already (although, this RUclips video is the only way to see the Tyrant that actually provides me a tiny amount of ad revenue, heh, so I appreciate it when people see it here rather than elsewhere).
You are some kind of wizard. I'm sure the imgr gallery doesn't do all of your effort justice. Some serious engineering went into this thing. I gotta ask tho, just because you must have spent so long thinking about this Star Destroyer... did you name the mini-figures? Do they all have their little stories?? I know I wouldn't have been able to resist... Rathis has a name, I know. Also, for some reason I really love the captain's cabin. It look so comfy!... well, as comfy as I suppose it gets on a Star Destroyer. You will go to some kind of Lego Valhalla for this. If one doesn't exist, I think just show this to the Gods and they'll create one for you.
AnIdiotsLantern Yeah, I did name some of them actually. All the pictures in the video were originally posted in an imgur album, which has more detailed descriptions: imgur.com/gallery/snxk3 The album has some additional pictures and more detail on the crew, near the end of the album.

Brick by Brick well he/she started off with looking at pictures, watching the movies, and possibly playing some Star Wars video games. Then he/she made sketch’s of the interior and exterior and plans of how to have good structural support and how to assemble and disassemble the build with out to much trouble. Then he/she ordered a shit load of different gray LEGO pieces. Then he/she waited for the pieces to arrive.
