I HAVENT EVEN FINISHED this tutorial and i lovveeeeeeee the fact she gets straight to it no talking no updates about your life just straight teaching so many dam videos and people talk way to much.. if we wanted to hear about your life and self make a self vlog but not on these tutorials to teach people things ..
I know! I just watched a blonde chick called India she did my head in.. Showing us her exercise in between and then coming back to her hair.. Who cares about you're exercise girl?!
I subscribed within 30 seconds of this video - straight to the point, no fake "Hiiii how are my curly girlies doing today?!" Or unnecessary life updates. This video was perfect and it's what RUclips was intended for.
FINALLY someone with my hair type exactly!!! i feel like every "curly hair" video i see on youtube is either dead ass WAVY or really really curly like afro american curls. and my hair is like in between
Hey just wanted to let you know You changed my life! I hated hairdressers who would pull half my hair out cause they don’t know how to cut thin curly hair in my country! I feel very much at ease now I’m battling severe dermatitis as well so I already have hair loss patch in the frontal area Your first simple hair cut video gave me courage to cut my hair after battling hair loss and not going to hairdresser after an year ( only after four hours of deliberations and then just watching you do it ) This video just gave me the courage to attempt that the second time I wish you heartiest blessings and happiness!
I just finished cutting my hair the way you showed and my hair looks amazing! My hair is on the shorter side reaching my shoulder and it has so much more shape to it. Thanks for this tutorial its a money saver!
Finally I’ve been watching so many curly hair cutting videos on how to do diy layers and your the first me to actually show how to do the layers 😫 thank you so much I really needed this ♥️
Tried this one for the second time and turned out so good. Sooo much better than all the other diys around. Thanks a thousand for sharing this. Youve saved me a whole lot of money.
I just finished cutting my hair and I'm sorry to my hairdresser but from now on i am going to do it myself. I am so happy i found this. I followed your every step and this is the best haircut I ever had! Thank you!
I've been cutting my own hair for a few years but the process was long, complex, and always had unevenness that needed extra fixing. I tried your technique today - not only was it waaaaay faster (took me around 10-15 minutes, I have around the same amount of hair as you) but there was also no unevenness on either side of my head AND the style of the haircut looked way nicer than I've had before! Thank you! :)
This video was great! Super helpful! Ive decided to try this whole cutting my own hair thing because I can't afford those Deva Cuts and I'd rather fuck up my hair for free than pay someone else to do it for me lol I've watched so many "cut your curly hair" videos and this one was the easiest to understand! Definitely gonna try your method! Thank you so much!! And you are soooo stunning!! Gahhh!!! Your hair is BEAUTIFUL! Subscribed
I was going to pay a pretty penny for a curly cut soon but then I stumbled upon your video and tried this technique! It came out so much better than I was expecting and I love it! Im glad I can do this myself now, this was so helpful!!! :)
I loved the results. I needed a trim and went through your video. Did a haircut myself. My hair are shoulder length but it has turned out so beautiful. I love the volume... thank you so much, Nathi. You are too beautiful... love from India.
I can't get over how fast ur hair grows, my curls take for ever to grow. Tried the Main Choice and indeed their stuff is good! Thanks for all your tips.
Sarah Iacolucci can I ask how did u blend the layers ? She’s saying put it all the top but when she’s actually cutting it’s on the side.. could be plz help & tell me how did u do it?
I know this is an old video but just want to thank you for this. I cut my hair and my 4yr old daughters hair today following what you did here. It was he first cut ever and it looks AWESOME.
I love how much product you use bc it reassures me lol. I feel like eeeeverywhere like beauty blogs and things always say "use around a half of a peanut butter cup of mousse" and I'm like who does that actually work for?
You're funny! 😄 I truly can only use about a half a peanut size dollop of stuff or my pixie cut super fine curls droop like an ice cream cone left out in the sun! LOL! Bleck! I'm So super envious of you curlies that have lots of hair! 👍
I finally have found someone who has the same haircut and curls like mine. But I have like straight up 2b on the thin strip of scalp just above my neck area. Still transitioning but that part doesn't curl further. So I'm 2b/2c/3a I suppose because the front area and middle is exactly like yours. Sorry for too much blabber.
I use this tutorial everytime I need to shape my hair. I let my hair naturally dry though yet the shape of this cut is devine!! Thank you Nathi ❤️❤️❤️🙌🏽
thank you sooo much! I always follow your advice and it works. Please do a get ready for a party night and next day hair. I know you've done one but your videos are so helpful. you have helped me love my curls again.
I also have curly hair! And i just started trying to wear my natural curls. The problem i have is the day after.. i feel like my hair looks gross, so i need to wash it again to get the nice curls. I just dont want to wash my hair everyday!
Laura Cano I used to have the same problem with next day hair.. the way you sleep with your hair makes all the difference! Put your hair up in the pineapple or I use my micro fiber towel and wrap it over night.. than maybe just add a little bit of water when you wake up and also add a curl revitalizer and your curls will look great. I use Cantu Comeback Curl; and love it! Its specifically for next day hair, but just repeat that same process third day as well if you dont want to wash your hair a lot. I like my hair better the second day honestly because it has a lot more volume! Hope this helps!
Laura Cano i have the similar problem so in the morning when i wake up i have a spray bottle with some water in it and i spray it on my hair and make sure to get the curls that are frizzy or straightened wet and then get ready and let my hair air dry so my curls come back to life. If i am in a hurry i dry it with a defuser (i recommend using the cold setting if you have one because putting heat to your hair every morning will only make the curls worse with time).I hope this helps
Add some conditioner to water bottle and spritz in the morning! Also beware of products with SILICONE (product names that end in -one) which cause frizz and buildup.
Wow, your hair looks amazing at the end of this! I wish I had someone to help me style my hair throughout my life! I've always had curly hair but grew up in a family of straight haired people! Thank you so much!
Aaah I am so happy you posted! My curls are similar to yours and I like following your routines and seeing how you change things up. I cut my color damaged hair after watching you do it and am very happy with the choice! And I love your personality Nathi! Wishing you the best 💛
My hair grew really long in quarantine and I still refuse to go to a hairdresser. I have cut my hair probably close to 10 times trying the unicorn and pigtails. It looked pretty bad. So today I tried this and it fixed my hair. THANK YOU!
I cut my hair about the same; I make a ponytail on the top of my forehead and just snip a bit off; that's it. It's according to directions in the book, "Haircutting for dummies". There's a different technique too by which you make your ponytail on the top of your head. 2 different layering techniques. I've had them both in my hair and love the one with the ponytail on the forehead the most. It gives awesome layers, but I would not recommend it for people whose hair is shorter than bra strap or you'll end up with itty bitty short hair / layers.
You deserve a comment girl, Thank you for making this video easy for other to do at home, I cute my nasty ends that were p..... me off for a while, I was afraid of doing it and I just did, just a few but enough to ruin styling or look of curly hairs, I didn't use proper scissors, hope looks good tho. Thank you.
👍OMG super cute!! This is giving me confidence to do it myself. I have trust issues with stylists, so I’m feverishly watching YT videos. Thanks for sharing. 💞
I'm a professional hairstylist student, and my teachers use to teach us "the routine" for straight hair, but we never practiced curly hair. I'll absolutely apply your routine to my future clients, so... thank you for sharing.
Nicole Vera Martínez representation is very important! It would amazing for all the hairstylists and makeup artists to go after getting education on how to care for ALL TYPES OF hair! Straight, wavy, curly, Afro
I was going to do the ponytail thing but I notice that they didnt cut the bottom part so I didnt know what to do, but you helped me! I'm trying it tomorrow
My hair is so big it looks like this without anything. I wish it were longer like yours though, and more defined all over. Might try this later, but what I have works very well too especially for frizz and keeping a style. I use curl keeper original mixed with water
Love the video- to the point with a great edit and music. Im struggling with parting my hair and not getting curls on the top of my head so will def try the extra coming out tip. How do you part your hair, when wet or? Xx
Hi, thanks for this tutorial! I tried it on myself and it turned out OK but not quite like yours....hoping for some advice. I have a lot, lot of hair (mosty thick 3B type), so when blending the layers it was impossible to take the frontal section as one. So I tried dividing it into 4 sections: top, down top, and 2 in the back. Would you advice otherwise? Also, would be great if you could upload a video of you cutting your whole hair. Thanks so much!
I just wanted to say thank you for this video. I watched it a few weeks ago. I ended up following your routine and did my own cut. It came out great. Thank you, and you’re beautiful 💕
Awesome, hair just like mine and I agree it's great you get straight to the point! You just go a new subscriber here. And keen to hear your music when you put it out, I'm a singer songwriter myself. Thanks heaps!
I use to be a Deva curl lover but now I love Mixed chicks. The only thing I put in my hair after I wash it is the leave in conditioner and I air dry it (blow drying makes it to tight and short for me) and then fluff after it is dry and use my pick at roots. Curious how you would like it in your hair. I am surprised how much I am a convert now.
Do you guys know any wavy hair that tends to frizzy Hair tutorials? While searching on youtube either you find black or really curly hair or straight nothing in between my hair doesn't curl 😭 but it's not straaaight ugh
I know exactly what you're talking about, my friend has the exact same hair type. Whatever you do DO NOT BRUSH IT you'll make the frizz worse. Think of your hair like an almost-curly hair type. Treat it with curly hair products to keep the locks of it separated so they don't frizz together but don't expect your hair to curl, it should look a little like a blow out or Victoria's secret model esque waves. Give it moisture with leave in conditioners and maybe some mouse, but gel curly hair products won't be necessary. If all else fails, curling your hair with pillow curlers or foam rollers will be super easy for your hair type, since I suspect it'll hold a curl well and a wet set won't damage your hair.
That Carol's Daughter almond conditioner is the best conditioner I've ever used on my daughter that I've found. & I found it at CVS on clearance for 2 or 3 bucks.
Brilliant thank you! I used to cut my own hair but havent for years, the hairdressers never know just what to do with curls, But now I do, Im just gonna cut my own hair following your tutorial, thanks its really helpful :)

Still one of my go-to videos for cutting my curly hair. Thank you! ❤️

Yes! I love this. My hair used to be very curly, but it's straighter now that I'm in my mid 40s. I'm about to get my curls back! You're gorgeous!

I just did this. My curl pattern is a little looser, but it worked nicely. So nice to not have flat roots anymore! Woohoo! Thank you!
Exactly what I need!! I have been trying to cut my hair by myself after a hairdresser destroyed my hair :( you are the best!
I use this tutorial everytime I need to shape my hair. I let my hair naturally dry though yet the shape of this cut is devine!! Thank you Nathi ❤️❤️❤️🙌🏽

You can just do conditioner
In ur morning shower or before styling just rinse ur hair hot wash it and then proceed with styling products. Air dry or defuse
Add some conditioner to water bottle and spritz in the morning! Also beware of products with SILICONE (product names that end in -one) which cause frizz and buildup.
OMG, I LOOOVVVEEE IT! My hair is curly and cut it really short, and now its growing back. I can't WAIT for it to grow back to this length!!!
Yo, six years now and I’m still following this vid. 😂 ❤ It just comes out so nice!
Your curls are beautiful! I was being lazy about washing my hair, but your video inspired me to go get my curls in check.
Wow, your hair looks amazing at the end of this! I wish I had someone to help me style my hair throughout my life! I've always had curly hair but grew up in a family of straight haired people! Thank you so much!

It’s funny how so chill she is and the rest of the youtubers are bright and kinda extra lol 😂 but I love her she is an adorable hippie
Xx
Lucy Dawn omg I always struggle with that :(

I just wanted to say thank you for this video. I watched it a few weeks ago. I ended up following your routine and did my own cut. It came out great. Thank you, and you’re beautiful 💕
I’m just so jealous of your curls. They are just perfect!
Wow, u have beautiful hair. It's very similar to my daughter's. Gotta try all these products and techniques.
Awesome, hair just like mine and I agree it's great you get straight to the point! You just go a new subscriber here. And keen to hear your music when you put it out, I'm a singer songwriter myself. Thanks heaps!
I use to be a Deva curl lover but now I love Mixed chicks. Wow your hair has grown so much and I love the color😍
I love your curly hair. I wish I had curly hair like yours! :)
Do you guys know any wavy hair that tends to frizzy Hair tutorials? While searching on youtube either you find black or really curly hair or straight nothing in between
my hair doesn't curl 😭 but it's not straaaight ugh
Salma mns IndiaBatson has some videos on styling. But I wouldn't describe hers as frizzy.
Same girll
Salma mns same as you
Curlypenny's channel is great, she shows how to care for looser curls and she has a great sense of humour

Damn girl. You and your hair are GORGEOUS! Thanks for the info!
You're back!! You're hair looks gorgeous as ever!💖
That Carol's Daughter almond conditioner is the best conditioner I've ever used on my daughter that I've found. & I found it at CVS on clearance for 2 or 3 bucks.
You are gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for your straight-to-the-point hair videos!
You are so pretty. You seem like such a sweet person and I love your curls. I've been binge watching curly hair videos. I miss mine so much.

Hi I’m Asian and have curly hair like hers, weird right 😂
Do you see a lot of hair tangled in your fingers while you wash and even after you wash while you're styling?
I've watched this video probably 50 times, just cause I love your hair!
What’s the color you dyed your hair with ? Its sooo pretty ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️?
Brilliant thank you! I used to cut my own hair but havent for years, the hairdressers never know just what to do with curls, But now I do, Im just gonna cut my own hair following your tutorial, thanks its really helpful :)
I love your hair it has grown alto since you cut it short and I really like your accent as well
