I feel like not driving exactly on the racing line makes you immediately lose grip in gt7, also cold tyres and heavy cars(full tank) have a big influence
One thing I do is reduce my wheel rotation angle down to like.. 180 degrees. It makes the force feedback much more of a wall at the limit of grip and makes it super easy to not over drive the car
You can do it in AWD cars. My daily race B setup on the 2015 Subaru STi you actually oversteer just slightly coming out of a corner. Brake slightly early, get the front rotated, then aggressively on the accelerator and it comes out of the corner like a rocket.
It took me a half day to really retrain myself to drive in GT7 cause in sport I did kinda the same thing. Over-aggressive driving and oversteer. But ive had a better handle after the fact and I've gotten so much better and faster ever since. MR is no problem at all on this game. The game physics and mechanics of GT7 are absolutely amazing and I'm having way more fun racing and driving than I ever did in Sport
The biggest change I have noticed is the change in braking points and not being able to brake through a corner - gt7 braking through a corner it’s just understeer, so definitely a different driving style needs to be applied/learnt
Oh yes I had the same issue with Honda NSX in Suzuka in one of the cafe menu book races. It was also raining and I was oversteering like anything. Have to go back and be gentle with the throttle inputs

It's a very small Window of controllable oversteer is my feeling... Kind of hoping they make some adjustments in a future patch tbh. Love the game all the same 👍
You can induce oversteer into a corner in the game no problem. You’ll lose time of course. Every Motorsport would get the rear end loose if it saved time but it doesnt. If you’ve ever spent a lap or two on a real race circuit you’ll find this to be true as well. Unless you’re pushing the absolute limits of the car in either situation your lap times won’t be what they could be if you push. Driver61 is a great teaching channel that made me better on a real circuit and even better in sim racing.
On throttle is a lot closer then iRacing. iRacing punishes you if you aren't delicate with the throttle, and we are seeing that on GT7 now. Personally, I found the group 2 cars to be fantastic to drive! Any plans for a controller guide in the future?
@Tesla Adverts GT7 is much closer to a sim now. The way the car behaves under braking and acceleration is much closer to iRacing now! This is a good thing IMO!
