  • Quick little tutorial on how I apply creative LUTs to my footage. I prefer to do it at the end because I feel as though it does the least amount of damage to the quality of my image. Let me know if this was helpful for you or if you have any future topic suggestions!

    You can also just use an adjustment layer above your footy for a lut. That way you can still put it last, and also have it cover multiple clips at once without the need to copy it to each one individually:)

    • @DannyGevirtz
      @DannyGevirtz  5 лет назад +4

      Daniel Peacocke hey man! If you put an adjustment layer above the footage that adjustment layer is effecting the footage before whatever is laying underneath it right? So the adjustment layer is effecting the footage first?

    • @DanielPeacocke
      @DanielPeacocke 5 лет назад +9

      @@DannyGevirtz Nope! It works like when you added the second lumetri layer I believe. So its a layer after the first layer. I think it would be similar to how nodes work in resolve :)

      Daniel is right. The adjustment layer effects everything below it, but after the corrections within the individual clips. Therefore perfect to apply looks.

      @@eliostamm7393 I use adjustment layers like you and Daniel mentioned. I adjust exposure and contrast on the actual video clip but anything beyond is handled in adjustment layers.

    Hey Danny,
    I got a stupid question. Can you add a LUT to a footage that was shot in default color profile?
    Cheers,
    Chris

    • @changeofpace9546
      @changeofpace9546 Год назад +1

      Yes, you can! It just has to be a lut meant for this colour space:)
      So, luts that convert log footage to rec709, won't work properly if you apply them to a clip that is rec709 already.

    I may or may not have giggled like a school boy at the intro- Its so easy to make that sound like something else :') Awesome video as always though dude!
