Have you perhaps noticed that at 11: 10 min there is a jerking in the video on Honor Magic 5 Pro. At least that's how it's shown to me on RUclips on my TV, whereas it's not the case on Samsung. Do you perhaps have an explanation for this? In addition, the 15 minute 4k video limit on the Honor is said to have been lifted with the last patch, can you confirm that for me? Generally the video was quite good from my experience, so it could have been a one off mishap here. Unfortunately I do not have the Honor 5 Pro with me anymore, since I wanted to test other phones as well and can't really buy and keep each and every phone. :D
I have the S23 U, magic 5 Pro and the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, and i can say, with full confidence, that X13U and Magic 5 Pro out the water to samsung in camera departament. Believe me. I tested in day, night, zoom, and very difficult scenarios ( like concerts) and clearly both phone are better. This year samsung are overhype, and until they don´t change the sensor size i won´t recommend the ultra line. Worst ! i compared the S23U agaisnt Pixel 7 Pro in very challenger scenarios and the google is far better to samsung ( incredible, in the zoom department too where the S23U have better hardware)

For the cost in my country the Honor being about 26% less in cost than the Samsung I felt that the Honor is good value for its performance even though the Samsung performed better in some instances. The other points I like with the Honor is its PWM screen performance and 3D face ID.

Very good real world comparison, I chose the Magic 5 Pro over the S23U, only a couple of things I dont like is you are limited to 15 mins in 4K video recordings, the camera doesn't change ISO very quickly when recording video in low light when you zoom in from main camera lens to tele lens so it goes very dark for a while when it switches lenses, and its LED torch is pretty dim compared with my last phone Pixel 6, which could light up a room, these issues do matter to me cause I make ghost hunting videos so I do alot of low light videos, and like to leave my camera recording in a room but 15 mins limit is restricting. Other than those issues it's almost perfect, battery life is amazing, low light vids and photos are great!

Thanks. I honestly didn't take many pictures myself, especially not side by side except of those in the video. So can't definitely tell, which one is clearly doing a better job here.
So basically s23 ultra is oversharpening the video and had washed out colors, also oversharpening photos which can't be fixed and that's the best camera?? 😅 Like on the really first redmi series, it's terrible. Honor is pure optics which is priceless. S23 ultra is only good for flexing and 10x zoom
Tbh there's not much of a difference between them. It's just a matter of preference and choice where do you want your data "safely" to be stored. Interesting and entertaining review.

I m using HM 5 pro and believe me it's an awesome phone.

It's a tough question because both are rather close. Keep in mind, that the S23 Ultra will get many of the AI features of the S24 Ultra soon too.
I think the automatic fps option is enabled on your S23 Ultra, it degrades the video quality at night, adding a lot of noise.
I seriously cant recall it being on, but it could very well have been turned on. Thanks for pointing this out.
