It's funny see the differences between countries.😂😂😂Japanese people use high quality kniffes and have different types for cutting raw fish and seafood. But korean are like: one knife it's enough for everything

As what the saying goes, we should eat well and be thankful for the food to pay it proper respect.
Cuz imagine if the cows are killed and then you see the beef steak being played around and thrown away like it has no value. That's worst than the killing itself. You may have empathy for these animals but you should also have respect for the food.

@@SagaciousOwl My parents worked hard to provide for us. The workers worked had to prepare it for us. The farmers worked hard to grow and harvest it for us. We respect food provided for us and make sure to eat it well and finish it with no leftovers. That's how we show respect with the food provided to us.

*Such seafood culture of Korea looks bizarre to even locals view.* 🙄🙄🙄 One thing's for sure is it appeared during a period of rapid industrialization happening, and it was a minority delicacy for village people on the island or nearby coast. Even 100 years ago, Korean ancestors didn't eat raw seafood (Squid, sea cucumber, abalone) and cooked it as soup, only for the food of seaside residents because it was very rare. Moreover, the abalone was one of the most precious food ingredients(進上品), and Joseon(朝鮮) Govts demanded a quota to island villagers and used it in goth chickens-soup or steamed with soy sauce and honey, not eaten raw state. While island village people moved to Seoul in the 1960s, a opened a lot of indigenous bars in the whole of Seoul province, including Seoul Jung-gu and Jongno-gu. They sold raw kinds of seafood in every narrow alley and Soju(燒酒), induced interest for office workers in the evening. Since early 2000, such raw seafood began to spread among Young generations like soul foods through Korean drama & movies & college drinking culture, naturally brainwashed without resistance.
