I actually live in NJ and the 614 ran out on the old Erie Lackawanna which their old terminal is on the Hudson waterfront and back years ago saw that Railroads steam locomotives chug in and out from places like Clifton and Lyndhurst deep within the suburbs
I’m glad you chooses to cover my favorite locomotive 614 by the way Ross Rowland change it’s tender for a bigger coal. Bunker and in 1992 and 93 it was in a 21th century limited trains
I thought you might like to know that in the U.K we tend to pronounce our four digit locomotive classes by the individual numbers. Flying Scotsman four-four-seven-two, Mallard four-four-six-eight. but when we get locomotives like Cock 'O' the North 2001 it varies from two thousand and one and two double-O-one. Finally three digit locomotives are pronounced singular and coupled so 990 is nine-ninety. It's one of those things that comes naturally but when you explain it, it sounds really overcomplicated.
8:14 my uncle got to see 611 back in the 80s and gave me a picture he took of it and gsve it to me 3 yearz ago exactly 3 decades since he took it. I have it proudly hung on the wall in my room along some other train pictures as well. 1 being union pacifc big boy 4014 when it was still in pomona and i plan on seeing it myself when its in California next week since i live in California heck my uncle actually plans on seeing it too when its either leaving California or in Arizona since that's where he lives
There's a Berkshire that going to be rebuilt in the couple years. Nickel plate #763 it's located at a private round house in Sugarcreek Ohio. With plans to be used throughout the eastern United States when restoration is completed. But it's on the back burner for now as GTW northern 6325 is getting new bearing and rod work done, and LS&I consolidation type #33 is gets annually rebuilt and state required inspections and certifications done. But hopefully one day that berk will be done and can run with 765.
In my own unikitty comic series the 759 is Hawkodile's favorite engine and he and Eagleator restored the 759 at steamtown and ran it on the unikingdom railroad.
You also forgot that the C&O 614 broke down during those excursions in New York and New Jersey because the booster failed and the auxiliary tender's water pipes failed to fill up the main tender. It was nursed back to Hoboken by NJ Transit diesels.
Hey, Jim. If you're up for a collaboration for a future Top 20 Retired Steam Excursion Stars on my channel, let me know. Hopefully, once I get everything set up with my laptop, I can start making the video. Once it's all put together, I'll send you the list and script, and I'll do the editing as needed.
I’d like to see C&O 614 in the Greenbrier express paint scheme but with Chesapeake and Ohio on the tender because I think the green looks nice while others say it’s ugly.
4:38 Imagine if the ACE-3000 project wasn't cancelled? then the price of oil wouldn't have been lowerd, and the railroad's nation wouldn't have dropped their support. Or, they would build a new one from scratch, and it will be completed in 2025. and it will run speeds from 100-110MPH
*SILENCE!!!* I understand that you're completely insane and have no common sense, but stop spreading your special kind of stupidity and insanity on my videos, understand!?
Canadian Pacific royal Hudson 2839 was used in the Southern railway she was known for her speed but not for her haulage capacity the 2816 was known for her capacity but not for her speed
14:58 I'm Donating to the project!

I know you got the "2-8-2 to 2-8-4 and so forth" thing from the History Channel series, Trains Unlimited.
Btw 2-6-2 Prairie's became 2-6-4 Adriatic types and 4-4-2 Atlantic's became 4-4-4 Reading (Jubilee if you live in Canada) types.
It's alright, we'll get her going, we'll have some proper pictures of all the parts properly made soon enough
Kewl. : )

This is a great list! Also I prefer 4-8-2 mountains over 4-8-4 northerns

Actually Nickel Plate Road 765 visited Nickel Plate Road 759 at Steamtown in 2015 not 2016.
@3:21 That roundhouse fire was in SILVER GROVE, Kentucky

i hope someone restores 759. in my opinion she's nicer than 765 and she's had more interesting jobs.
You ain't wrong, friend. Berkshires are outstanding engines!
Well hello Teddy.
They should also restore 757 ane 779 too.
I would like to see a ACE 3000 in service with FP45 and SD40-2 diesel locomotives
Keep dreaming.
2:38 C&O 611 would've survived too.
9:26 surprise!!!!
14:11 This LNER Claude Hamilton 4-4-0 looks like Molly from Thomas & Friends!
No Thomas references here.
around 14:00, 759 was shoved out of the roundhouse by the D&H. If it has been left indoors, it would have been fine.
Did you know?: C&O #2716 will run again in the year 2021. I think.
I already explained the locomotive is getting rebuilt. Didn't you watch the whole video?

I think it's ugly... :|
Jim van der Kolk Good for you
1:44 Agreed, pro skills
BTW, I guess we may see a moment where 2716 might doublehead with L&N 152
C&O should triple head with NKP 765 and Pere Marquette 1225 when she's restored.
And there will be a three side by side with 765, 1225 and 2716! And people will come see that and record them!
What music did you use for this video? The credits don't explain enough.
It's all in the credits.
Did you even read my comment? I said the credits don't explain enough, but I found it later on.
I think the C&O 614 looks cooler in green.
Nah. Not for me.
Agreed, Jim. C&O black looks WAY better on 614.
Same here and besides green's my favorite color and since it is called a green brier it makes sense if it was painted green

@@Jimboliah3985 okay
C&O 2716 was... well.. a bit... ????? confusing, I don't know why
why isn't 759 restored for the 150 anniversary?
that sounded like Jonathan Eau Claire lol
Is Tom the same one from Cylinder Cocks?
No, the other guy in here is Christopher. Tom is an Englishman.
Canadian Pacific royal Hudson 2839 was used in the Southern railway she was known for her speed but not for her haulage capacity the 2816 was known for her capacity but not for her speed
when is part 3 coming out?
Hopefully this weekend.
***** oh yay!
Maybe even this Wednesday if I keep working! : )
It's uploaded! : )
The 759 took the long excursion from Omaha to where? If you are going to explain a long trip maybe you should explain BOTH! places.
more C&O 614!!!
14:10 is he the same tom from the cylinder cocks video and I I'm not taking about Christopher kovacs
Who else would it be?

You forgot to say but not Amtrak e60 and acs64 and hhp8 611 and you forgot to say that and remember that and you forgot it
What the frick are you talking about?
CSX should be ashamed of themselves, thanks to their No steam policy, 614 won't run again
I hate CSX
