A vast majority people don’t. Even in his first WWE run, he didn’t have much heat backstage except with top brass (Vince, HHH, etc.). There were some people that got pissed at him for breaking off contact after leaving, but overall, not much.
It wasn’t until he went to AEW and had to deal with people who had no idea how to produce pro wrestling on TV that actually makes money where he had problems. Ever since he’s gotten back to WWE, he and HHH have obviously mended fences and it seems to be all business/smiles in the back. It should also be mentioned that according to Punk, there were talks about him returning to WWE prior to signing for AEW.

Cm punk is a great guy!! It seems to me that most people like him and the people that don’t are just jealous haters!! Cm punk is the real deal and that’s why I’m a fan of his bc he stands up for what he believes in even if it’s not the popular decision. He’s relatable and I look up to the guy. He’s taught me you don’t ever take crap from no one!!
