Merrick… I’m taking down my circular pool (4m diameter) this weekend… and am tempted to replace what will be dead area after 4 months of suppression…… with a golf green!!! Got the bentgrass ready to go, but wondering if the seeds will take as we’re what… 1/3 into autumn already. You’ve inspired us… and let’s see how it goes in Adelaide, Australia climate! I’m expecting a warmer autumn, as we pretty much had a very mild summer! So maybe it’s not too late!
Ja lekker. Well I sowed very late last year and it came up. However we had a cold winter and it did slow down drastically and struggled to fill in, but the cold doesn't kill it, it just slows it down a bit. I reckon its safer to start through winter than to start through summer. I think its crucial however to understand your own climate. However its awesome to hear. Good luck with it and let me know how it goes if you decide to go for it.
Love the channel Merrick. I'm just starting my lawn journey and recently overseeded with some Kikuyu / Rye seed blend. The Rye came up very quick so easy to spot. Was hoping you can help with how I identify the Kikuyu. I do also have paspalum in the lawn so don't want to accidentally pull out Kikuyu
The green is looking mint mate well done 👍
Nice sharing my friend like1
Merrick, I think you created a new dance step called " The Spike " 🤣
The South African Spike. The new lawn Care Dance step, next we’ll see the Lawn Care Nut version. 😎
Hahaha yes. Let me know when your lawn is ready, and I'll send you the shoes so you can try "the spike".
