In the last few months I've nearly killed myself many times and every time im stearing into that darkness I listen to Ben and Ashley and I can't do it. Thank you for that.
Never stop fighting brother. The darkness is there and it’s very real. Don’t focus on eliminating the darkness, focus on getting stronger so you can see the light. I straddle that line myself sometimes, but don’t go making that ultimate decision. Energy is neither created nor destroyed. Your pain won’t go in the ground with you, it’ll go to your mom, dad, siblings, best friends. A friend of mine made that ultimate decision almost 6 years ago. I think about him everyday. God bless and don’t ever quit.
Proper Americana music done by real folks that just dont care about the corporate sellout. Got a truck, a guitar, a fiddle, a good song and live the life. This is hard to find these days, so I really appreciate the effort.
Guy Clark is one of my favorites along with Johnny Cash, Doc Watson, Townes Van Zandt, and Hank Williams. I think your sound is so important to keep that alive. Thank you!
Their story is amazing. I had the privilege of meeting Ashley once, and, when she smiles at you, you feel as if you could overcome anything because some people do care. And in no way do I mean to leave Ben out. I've never met him, but he's been there for me more times than he'll ever know - and she was there for him.
I stumbled across "I went down to Georgia" and immediately fell in love with your music. I'm glad your still making music. Copper looks like he's getting wise. Once again thank you for making real music in this day and age.
I've put yall's version of this song on repeat more times than I can count over the last few days. This hits home more than any song i've ever listened to. Guy Clarks original is a masterpiece...but the heart and soul you two put in to this is just.. Well words can't explain how good it is.
I love this song, I play it at my firepit when I have a cold beer and a cherry red pipe, zone, and enjoy the beautiful craft of their sound and amazing lyrics.

This is the "spark" that kept the flame for the music industry as a whole since it started dieing out around 2000, i was almost sure that true music was dead and gone. taking its place a group of people that had looks , no talent. songs written without purpose , empty lines of meaningless words. all sung by the dozen gifted vocalists kept starving , so as they wretched out such garbage only capable of completion so as to calm there starvation. yah yah yah i hear ya , thank god for the fresh meat , here to carry on the way of singer, songwriter, musicians. that's rite "musicians" people

They covered Townes Van Zandt's "Waiting Around to Die" as well. But they really made it their own. I mean I still prefer Townes and Guys versions, but they really did make it their own.
I’ve probably listened to this 100 times, and I just today noticed the thunder at 2:55. It makes the way Ben shakes his fist, feel even more powerful than it did to me before.
In the last few months I've nearly killed myself many times and every time im stearing into that darkness I listen to Ben and Ashley and I can't do it. Thank you for that.
Keep fighting man

Gotta put Billy Joe Shaver in the mix.
Life just keeps bending me over. I don't know what I would do without your music.
God bless you
Nice tune, and I believe he's kinda blessed to have a lovely strong woman by his side.
She's the true blessing in all of this
Facts
She pretty much saved his damn life.
Got one of those, myself. 24 years together...married 22 of them. “The love of a good woman...”
Their story is amazing. I had the privilege of meeting Ashley once, and, when she smiles at you, you feel as if you could overcome anything because some people do care.

Well, I wished I was in Austin, mm
In the Chili Parlor Bar
Drinkin' Mad Dog Margaritas
And not carin' where you are
But here I sit in Dublin, mm
Just rollin' cigarettes
Holdin' back and chokin' back
The shakes with every breath
So forgive me all my anger
Forgive me all my faults
There's no need to forgive me
For thinkin' what I thought
I loved you from the get go
And I'll love you 'til I die
I loved you on the Spanish Steps
The day you said goodbye
I am just a poor boy, mm
Work's my middle name
If money was the reason
Well, I would not be the same
I'll stand up and be counted, mm
I'll face up to the truth
I'll walk away from trouble
But I can't walk away from you
So forgive me all my anger
Forgive me all my faults
There's no need to forgive me
For thinkin' what I thought
I loved you from the get go
And I'll love you 'til I die
I loved you on the Spanish Steps
The day you said goodbye
I have been to Fort Worth, mm
And I have been to Spain
And I have been too proud
To come in out of the rain
And I have seen the David, mm
I've seen the Mona Lisa, too
And I have heard Doc Watson
Play Columbus Stockade Blues
Forgive me all my anger
Forgive me all my faults
There's no need to forgive me
For thinkin' what I thought
I loved you from the get go
And I'll love you 'til I die
I loved you on the Spanish Steps
The day you said goodbye
