Good luck with your chosen plan. I do intermittent fasting (breakfast about 10.00 am and early dinner). It's been the best way I've found for me to lose weight as it involves no calorie counting or special foods which are negatives for me as they make me feel 'controlled'! It's all about finding what works for you personally.

I have been going to SW started off well but went off the rails. I would love to lose 2 st. Will be following you with interest! Trying my best to keep to it as I have a holiday in 5 weeks.
I overhauled my diet in February. I changed to a low carb diet, eating less bread, potatoes and pasta. I've virtually cut sugar out completely. I have the occasional cake but very rarely. I eat protein based meals with plenty of salad and vegetables and I also eat a lot of fruit. I've lost nearly 2 stones and dropped a dress size. I also try to go for long walks a few times a week ❤
🎉Diabetic belly is me on insulin, Weight issues too..all my life, just love my food, I now eat twice a day with one portion of carb at each meal 50-70 grams of carb a day.. treats on a weekend only.. I eat fat which is free , grass fed butter. Sugars are not, drink lots of 💦 water.. plenty of fresh veg and fresh meats as always.😊
Hi Maria. I went back to SW in June because it works for me. I would say that you do have to stick to the plan. It won’t work if you stray! It’s such a healthy way of eating. Good luck as you begin again x
Wish you luck with your journey and we all have our journeys and tales that shape our lives. I blame slimming clubs for my bad relationship with food mum started me at 13 at ww in the 80’s and that started me on a yo-yo style of dieting and different slimming clubs up until 8 years ago. I found calorie counting and built my relationship with food and I’ve lost 10 stone 2.5 to go. I’ve gone from at 26/28 to a 14/16 pushing into a 12/14 I was the queen of self sabotage and I can never calorie count but with new technology it’s easy but building my relationship with food was harder. Instead of falling off the waggon and putting 3 stone on I know just eat what I want but like a bank account manage my money/weight. Weight loss is not easy but free food and syns for me played with my head. And I’d find ways to cheat and only hurt myself. I’ve moved from never weighing myself after horrid comments from so called slimming club consultants, to weighing every so often to now weighing everyday but understanding the fluctuations so stopping the I’ve put a pound on panic and over eat. Or the start on Monday that never happens or overeat when out or in holiday because I’d restricted myself. Been consistent is key you got this you can do it.
Maria i just love watching you i my lost 6 stone on slimming world but i got knocked down at Christmas and i cant get out to walk and i but on 3 stone and am feeling very down but i have went back to class and i am going to try and get back on track thank you for a brilliant video sending you all my love and hugs Marie ❤❤

This is very timely for me Maria as I am about to start a six week 20 minute daily exercise programme to add to my weekly hour long step class and am planning to overhaul my eating habits. I will be doing a fasting plan I think. I have gained a lot weight since starting HRT and it has been compounded by a period of inactivity due to my arthritic knee playing up, then back issues. But finally I'm pain free, so this week is my big reset! We have got this! 💪
I do intermittent fasting and it works a treat for me. I'm glad you mentioned HRT because although we're told it doesn't cause weight gain it definitely does for me. I had to stop my HRT for a month recently for health reasons and I lost about 4 pounds without trying which has crept back as soon as I resumed taking it again. I suspect it could be fluid retention. It's a nuisance for sure.
@@essanjay8604 stands to reason that something hormonal affects your weight. I don't know why they keep denying it as I know so many women who have said the same... but I suppose Big Pharma stands to make a LOT of money from persuading 50% of the population they definitely need to be taking this stuff!

Good luck on your journey Maria, Once you're in the 'zone'. you can easily lose lbs. It's when all those bad habits creep in that does the damage! It's about being in the right mindset and not beating yourself up about extra weight. Small changes can make a difference in how you feel - drinking more water, walking more each day, even the sun shining makes a difference!. I do remember a comment from an older videos of yours about wearing a bikini on holiday, and you said you didn't care what people thought, you were on holiday to enjoy yourself. That comment really stuck with me and has given me the confidence to wear a bikini, so thank you!. I have fallen off the SW wagon and rolled down the hill this year! 😂 Looking forward to supporting you on your journey, but know that you inspire and motivate others by just being you.
Slimming World works and I lost four stone about ten years ago. I have had a few tries with the plan again as I have gradually been getting heavier but just can’t cope with it again. However, no excuse not to do something about my weight is it? So periodically I find the Fasting diet best for me. However as soon as I lose a bit we go on holiday and I end up back at square one - plus a bit! Can only blame myself! So….we are back from Dorset and have three weeks before our next holiday. Panic! However you Housewives have kind of thrown down the challenge. For a start that bottle of wine we share on a Sunday evening is not coming off the wine rack! Tony will not be amused but he can damn well join me in my misery!😂 xx Liz

I was a lot younger then and am not that clever on my feet. I did SW years ago and lost 4st but couldn’t keep it off and ended up 5st heavier than when I started. Since changing to calorie counting I’ve lost the 5st and kept it off for 4yrs
@@Maria_crocker I have anything between 1400-1800 a day but now it’s just more maintenance calories. I do exercise 6 days a week as well 30mins kettle bells then 45mins cardio. I must add though I’m retired so have the time
Hi Maria very interesting never tried SW. Just wondering the ready made rice in packet is it by the amount of grams you are allowed that you know the SYN value. ❤❤
Found this on line if it helps - Syns are calculated by Slimming World not just by calorie content but by how filling they are and whether they contain free foods. If you can't find a syn value online you can round it to one syn per 20 calories, but this isn't an exact science.
