Good one. But this test proves something else, that different products CAN be layered. Since what matters is what is above and not beneath.
What I still wonder is if the wear and tear of the top layer, reveals the layer beneath (in case of two waxes/ sealants on top of each other)

There is not version with prewax cleanser removed with prep before wax.
Im using Djuice limeprimeplus or lime prime to paint polish with machine (light correction) and removing that with prep before waxing.
But prewax or not there is only wax difference on this test.
So i dont need remove limeprimeplus or similiar polisher before waxing 🤔

Bare paint is always the best for durability. Also, looking at that, how good is Double Speed Wax compared to all those other waxes? By far the cheapest too!

If hydrophobics and durability is all you care for in a wax, then Double Speed Wax is hard to beat, yea

@@AndreasSchwarzinger given that wax's main objective is protection, then it is pretty important. I couldn't see that it looked much worse, if at all and it isn't that hard to apply.

@@roscopervis it absolutely CAN be hard to apply and leave oily holograms behind. And it stinks.
My personal conclusion is: it‘s a very good protective product, but it‘s not a good wax.
I personally expect more from a wax.

@@AndreasSchwarzinger it’s only hard to apply if you’re not good at applying wax. Using a damp microfibre applicator and it applies very thinly and easily. The smell isn’t high on my agenda. Given the performance, which is high on my agenda, and which beats all those other waxes in that test for much less money, it really is a great wax at a brilliant price.

some of the most popular detailing channels in the USA state that waxes, QD, and so on do boost gloss, I would not agree, maybe you can use the gloss meter used in some of the videos and prove them wrong

It depends on how well the panel is polished first. If the panel has been perfectly polished, then no protection product will boost gloss, but it will reduce it. However, if it isn’t perfectly polished, then such products can boost gloss as they will fill in the imperfections. This is what the U.S. channels take advantage of, using a panel that is polished, but not perfectly. This isn’t totally invalid as most people will apply these products to cars that will also not have perfectly polished paint.
