In the last example of "bridge", I think it's "-dge" that makes the /dʒ/ sound, instead of "-ge" alone. Similar to "fridge", "nudge", etc, where "d" is not a muted letter... What do you think?
I do think there's a bit more of a "stop" (like the start of a /d/ sound) when the /dʒ/ sound is at the end of a word as opposed to the beginning or middle, but it's not transcribed in basic IPA (the International Phonetic Alphabet). IPA uses /dʒ/ for all three of those cases. You can test this out for yourself on a platform like tophonetics.com/. The /ʒ/ sound is the sound in the middle of "luxury" or the end of "massage," so it's definitely different than the sound in "jam." But I do know what you mean, and phoneticians would probably use some sort of diacritic to show those minute differences. You can see all the IPA diacritics in this chart (www.internationalphoneticalphabet.org/ipa-charts/diacritics/#google_vignette), but it's been so long since I've studied phonetics that I'm hesitant to say for sure which one would be used in "bridge."
We make subtitles for all our videos! To turn them on, click on the Settings icon (the cog wheel) at the bottom right of the player, then click on Subtitles/CC, then choose "English." But don't choose "English (auto-generated)" because those are the automatic ones that RUclips makes and there are often mistakes. We make our CCs ourselves (called "English") that includes correct punctuation and capitalization, and no grammar or spelling mistakes. Happy studying!

You should install subtitles to make it easier for everyone to learn
