Theo's portrayal of Sidney was spot on, and though as I tried to get into Colburne, I could not... Sorry but without Theo, I'm not really interested in watching Sanditon unless there's a chance of his return.
I wasn't happy with Sidney's departure, but in the end it was the most realistic scenario. It was not uncommon for people to die suddenly at a young age. Especially when visiting exotic countries with different climates. This, too, gave Charlotte more layers - she knew love and knew how painful it was to lose a loved one. It was a great match for Alexander and his tragic past. Based on previous experiences, they were both wary of love issues, and I enjoyed watching them fall in love with each other.
Definitely Team Sidney! I don't care how cheesy it may look or feel to bring him back. The chemistry between the two actors Sidney & Charl0tte) felt so real. Sorry but I still cannot warm up to Alexander. Just call he a heartsick diehard!!!!
I tried to continue watching the show after s1 but it fell flat. It was missing its initial banter, chemistry and angst. Sidney and Charlotte’s love story had so much potential for further exploration. It’s unfortunate that Theo left.
Just found this series last night, binged watch all 8 episodes. So disappointed to learn of Theo James’ departure. I don’t know if Season 2 is worth watching without Sidney.
I don't know why we don't see more of Theo James either in UK or Holywood he's a good actor and handsome more so than many of the present popular actors of today
Even if he came back i think in order for Sanditon to Boom like it was they would have to get that formula back they had in season one half of two because aint none in three for me
This is not about who likes who and what do you think. This was advertised as a Jane Austen novel. It should have run along the lines of her previous novels. It should not have been a trilogy and Charlotte should have married Sydney, that is what Austen intended. In the ten chapters that she wrote, it was obvious that, that was her intention. I expected that. After the ending in season one, I did not watch the other two. I found the book that was finished by ‘Another Woman’, who understood Austen and finished the book as Jane Austen would have done. This should not have been about what Theo wants or anyone else, it was about honouring the name of the authoress, paying tribute to her. When selfish Theo wasn’t going the continue, they could have had a couple more episodes, got Lady Susan to extricate Sydney from Eliza, and had the ending that Austen intended. The people who finished it, ruined it.
I do agree with you entirely that this TV Sanditon is NOT Jane Austen, tho' the first seris is better in that respect than the later two. It's quite interesting otherwise but all the time I wish they'd cast Charlotte and Sidney differently then we could I hope have had a proper Jane Austen ending for those two. Yes I have copy of Another Woman completed version. It is much nearer to Austen but I did find that Sidney irritatingly weak and Edward disappointing. But her Charlotte is IMO far better than the TV version. It's a shame the "mulatto lady" is shown as sick but we all know it was a feature of the time, and I do like how the other lady shows Arthur's interest in her. But looking at who wrote the dramatisation for S1, unfortunately he likes to er spice up Austen, he admits it. I seriously don't like his spicing up, I wish he wouldn't do it as it isn't Austen or at least not the way he does it - I find what he likes to shove in rather prurient. I loathed his dramatisation of the wonderful long novel War and Peace. He said he had to pick out just a bit of the long story and frankly he made a mess of it. Awful. The old movie with Peter Fonda, Mel Ferrer, and Audrey Hepburn isn't perfect by any means but my goodness it gets the atmosphere of that masterly Tolstoy novel, the relationships, the war, Moscow under siege, etc, all in one movie, whilst Davies had SIX episodes for his TV dramatisation... IMO the most intriguing writing is Tolstoy's analysis of the actual battles and Pierre's trips around the battlefields which comes out well in th movie but not in Davies' version. I found Hepburn a bit "silly" for the heroine at times but it was OK.
Will producers write actor contracts which ensure the actors always return, no matter how much they may say they don't want to or they can't miss a new "better" opportunity? Will actors sign such a contract? It's quite frequent that an actor gets well established in a part and then suddenly decides to leave that character high and dry. That happened in The Musketeers when Richelieu's actor was offered Dr Who (IIRC it was that reason he left Musketeers S1). So they had to find a new villain. But in the books Richelieu was not really a villain but doing his best for France whilst the TV series Louis is a total twerp though that works well in the series context! And the new villain in S2 was superbly written and cast. So it can work, depends on many aspects. After I rewatched the whole Sanditon TV series recently I was tghinking as you did, surely Sidney was better in that Other Woman book? But oh dear, I next reread the Other Woman book (which I had initially read quite a long while ago) and her Sidney was awful, vapid, silly, boring, weak. After a bit I stopped the reread as it was utterly unbearable, all the more as her Edward also was tedious and silly and Edward in the TV series is one of my favs, a fine anti-hero especially in S3! So I guess the writers decided they couldn't recast Sidney. I would have preferred them to recast him. But it is as it is and people died young then as shown by Austen eg in Persuasion.
@roswilliams2899 Yes, but never the protagonists. They should have added two more episodes, used Lady Susan to disentangle Sydney from Lisa, so that he could marry Charlotte. Whatever they did, they should have left Jane Austen's name out of it. I've read the book three times, and I see Sydney, as Sydney from the film, his character already established.
I did like Sidney and Charlotte together, but he chose to leave. So I moved on and am happy that the production was able to bring another interesting story to the table. For me, I find it worth watching!
Trouble is Theo refused to return, so what are the options? End the TV series there, leave Charlotte and the others in permanent limbo? Let him seem to be dead such as lost at sea when returning to UK only to turn up right at the end of S3 if the actor actually agreed to appear in final ep - but what if Charlotte has grown away from him by then due to Colbourne or even Ralph? Tricky. Recast character Sydney? Or accept he's dead? I guess the final option is the easiest.
Alexander is good, but Sidney is even better, I was sorry he went away. Actually, it did not feel right, Sidney's character had not prepared me for such an end.
I am sorry but there is a real story that has not been actually told. Theo James was an Executive Producer of Sanditon. That means he paid money for the production. He is a far better actor and I think the cast played some not so smart games with the whole thing. He has recently said some things as had an executive producer from ITV US . Sanditon had been cancelled by ITV which is the network in the U.K. that has commercials. They had problems with the showings and decided to cancel it in August right after the showing. PBS who was considered the possible next step did nothing for 6 months when they had been told by Andrew Davies and cast members like Theo that the problem was episode 8 . It needed a change. Some scenes had also been cut because of the commercials. PBS was not fair to anyone by the delay and although they had done some promotions with Theo and Rose the fact is they were not in a good place. The cast also did not all behave as they understood and since the pay scale is far less in the U.K. having a cast member putting up funds as an executive producer and the lost time did not help. Season 2&3 were filmed back to back for cost savings. Season 2 did not fair well in the U.K. again the commercials on ITV. ITV owns BritBOX so they will be the streaming service and PBS is barely dealing with season 3. This is not Jane Austen and to me I feel that if the ITV explanation and Theo’s unhappiness with cast members is true I do not blame him. Ben is not a strong actor and season 2 ended badly. Nothing is Jane Austen. To me the most important thing missing is basic integrity of the cast like Rose Williams. By the time season 3 is seen that is over 3 & 1/2, years from the beginning and Theo James has his own production company and he has done some good things. He was great in White Lotus. I think PBS needs to give us a far better explanation. Rose Williams and the others need to think about it. Theo was the leading man. Ben does not compare and I will not watch it. I like Chris Marshall and hope he gets his BritBOX detective program off the ground. I am 100% a Sidney Parker fan .
@@anitapemstein51 I totally agree with you. I actually wish it had not been made at all. It's like losing a real life love that you can never get over...
Ι totally agree with you! Theo James is a better actor with way more charisma than Ben Lloyd-Hughes and i felt that, without James, the second season lost a lot of appeal. Also you are right on point, there was an abrupt ending of Sydney's story arc.
show boring not cuz he left but because a lot of people that got me watching gone now i watch im like um all these people boring even charlotte took a dive in the show for me sighs
I did watch the second season but couldnt bring myself to watch the 3rd.. Team Sidney all the way.. The charisma of the show went out the window after the 1st season.. I would even have preferred a recast for the character of Sidney, despite how much I love Theo - I would have loved to watch Sidney and Charlottes happy ending unfold.. Such a shame they didnt recast.. Regarding this video: My guess is that it took too long for the show to come back.. Remember that it took over 2 years before Sanditon was renewed.. Actors move on to other projects.. I think thats what happened here.. Theo moved on.. If Sanditon had been renewed right away after the 1st one, then maybe he would have continued the series.. Such a shame on a really good 1st season.. Will never get over it LOL
I would love to see Theo, back as Sidney.I’ve only watch watched season one. But finding out Theo won’t be back, makes me lose interest in watching the remainder series 😢
Bring Sidney back. Without Sidney and Charlotte, Sanditon became boring. Sorry but the 2 male actors that are Charlotte's new romantic interest, are just not right. Theo James is a much better actor and his complex character made Sanditon more interesting. I was willing to give Season 2 a chance, but was so disappointed. After watching episode 1 of Season 3, it does not look any better. Anyway thanks for season 1.
I LOVED Sidney/Theo… Sanditon was were he should have stayed…BUT he choose to leave, period. Theo made his choice, Ben works. I’m just glad they continued forward and we can actually watch Sanditon.
after dude left because Im sick of people talking about people want him back for looks Um no it was acting to me anyway even if he chose to leave still and people will not see that STILL the show flopped because the formula went south maybe it would have gotten better had they tuned in a lot better of him leaving and more but bottom line sadly even now its boring it dont have nothing to do with theo james it has something to do with the show it is boring now
I love Charlotte and Alexander together. Wish the series would continue past season 3. I look forward to Sunday nights and have re-watched them over and over again. Thank you Jane Austen.
I didn't entirely like S3 first time I watched it - so many themes, felt they were often rushed, didn't always like the denouements. But eventually I did rewatch the whole 3 series and enjoyed the experience other than I was so annoyed with what I think were script errors relating to Georgiana and Lockhart issues and the inheritance laws - but one can I am sure argue that. But I felt that whole subject was wrongly "resolved", I won't forgive the scriptwiters for that nor will I forgive them for making Georgiana, one of my great favs in S2, become so conceited and selfish in S3.
I'm with you, I think Rose Williams was behind the fallout as she would never answer any questions about TJ or even do interviews with him. There must have been some disconnect with Theo James and TJ was blamed for the whole ordeal. Never watched second or third season and I also miss James Stringer, Diana Parker, Lord Babington and Mr Crowe. They turned Charlotte into some poor tart who didn't have a family and needed to work as Nanny to survive... What a joke! It's all about greed from the networks... they totally stuffed it up and unfortunately stuffed up the most iconic English writer's final works, trying to mimic Bridgeton, a fantasy Regency Drama, when they should have stayed authentic....such a shame!!
It is all too late, he is not wanted. Theo James was Sidney and true to Jane Austen, he was destined to marry Charlotte. It was apparent in the ten chapters that she wrote. This period drama should have been entitled, ‘The Adventures of Charlotte Heywood’, and Austen followers would not have been disappointed. Thankfully I have read the book that was finished by ‘Another Woman’. It is true to Jane Austen and as I read it, I see Charlotte and Sydney, so have the happy ending that Austen intended. Austen would never have had her heroine traipsing from one suitor to another. How Davies et al could have made such a mess of things and using Austen’s name, is beyond me.
I too have that completed version. Othr than the new holiday complex isn't built (a serious shame), and I don't see Georgiana as an invalid, it is a good version. Agree re the mess made of Charlotte. Firstly, IMO Sydney totally miscast - Theo not remotely right, far too sophisticated for Charlotte, not surprised he didn't return in S2 - he married the right woman given the actor's personality. Ralph is right for Charlotte. Colburn absolutely wrong too.
@@roswilliams2899 I'm looking for the completed version of Sanditon. It's hard to find in South Africa...unless I'm just not looking in the right places. Know where I can find it?
We have so many clever SidlotteFanFiction writers out there I discovered and I love the different versions of what could have been after the ending of S1 and there are some who wrote potential continuation of S2..I'd like to think that something happened that he never really married Eliza, everyone in Sanditon never knew the truth and unknown to everyone what truly happened....bugt of course all they know was he went to Antigua without Eliza. There was an open - ended story there...
Of course , season 2 without Sidney , I never watch , but keep looking at season 1 !! Theo is such a fine and good actor , pretending well he loves Charlotte . Miss him a lot .
Hi, I honestly not sure how to put into words how I feel after watching this video…it took me awhile to come up with a response… I supposed I’m disappointed, furious? Or sad… because of false posts from different video channels, given us false hopes…I guess I have to let go… and perhaps wait for better adaptation of Sanditon. JA’s stories is not broken fairy tale and I truly admire JA writing for giving us beautiful stories that truly inspires and giving us a happy feeling upon closing a book. Sanditon season 1 was very special, unique, I discovered great talents and fell in love with this story….but I must say I had to pause s as me cut the ending… I can relate to how others feel after watching them. I hope and pray everyone enjoyed making this film for us. Please be kind to one another. Protect Rose at all cost. I truly appreciate you taking and reprising this role. I would love this character to offer more inspiration and personality that I can share with my girls and perhaps rewatch with them when they are a little bit grown up.
I never saw any TV series of it. I saw a movie and thought it utterly dire! I was very annoyed I'd wasted time and money going to the cinema to see it.
I am team Sidney all the way! He had the most chemistry with Charlotte and I was heartbroken from the ending of season 1. I wanted so badly for the characters to discover in season 2 or 3 that Sidney was somehow still alive and that someone had mistakenly identified the body as his when it was actually someone else or perhaps that he faked his own death because he couldn't bear to be married to a woman he didn't love and saw that as the only option of escape (which would not be cheesy to me, personally). And maybe his wife could have died from an illness unexpectedly or something, making him no longer kept from being with Charlotte. However, I think that, since Theo James did not return to the show, Alexander was a good replacement as a love interest and I enjoyed watching his and Charlotte's romance blossom. Also, it is a unique aspect of the story that the main protagonist does not end up with her first love, but must grapple with loss and grief and allow herself to ultimately find love again with another man. Not many stories explore that type of plotline.
Sanditon was a mix up right from the start. What a mess. The crazy unbelievable ending was so disappointing. Theo James dropping out was another hit to the show and fans. Everything just seemed so unorganized and could have been so very good. So many cast members didn't return for the next season. I miss them as well. Maybe they should have left that book where they found it. Again I think it COULD have been a very good show. As it is I am still enjoying it but not as much as I could have. I've met a lot of new actors I like.
Ben is no match for Theo. Theo is hands down one of the best actors out there. He is so, so good at making you fall in love with the characters he plays and hook you into liking him as a person.
Theo is one of the weakest actors in the sanditon cast imo. Just because he is super hot and more well known within hollywood it doesn't make him one of the best actors out there. He plays the same type of character in everything he does (serious, overtly masculine, and an asshole) and has literally no range or subtly in his acting. I've never seen him play anything other than the same character. Ben is MUCH more talented with huge range, he also acts with his eyes so well. Rose is in Bens league in terms of range and acting skill. They both shined in season 3 and their chemistry was off the charts.
@@xoxo-qc6qd I am not sure how you came to those conclusions. I for one am not taken by Theo's supposed hotness. True, he is very attractive. Still, he is not attractive enough for me to give him credit for talents he doesn't possess. It is true, Theo plays the same type of character in many of his roles. Nonetheless, he does play non-douchebag roles like in "The Benefactor," or "Golden Boy," or, "How It Ends," or in "Archive," proving he is multi talented. Plus, he can sing very well, plays the piano etc. No one can say that Theo James is the best actor. He is no Denzel Washington or James Purefoy. But, he is one of the best actors out there, and he is wayyy better than Ben. Not because Theo is better looking that Ben, but because Theo has a screen presence that is captivating, and a charisma that is top notched. When compared to Ben, Theo is in a higher category proven by his acting resume viewed side by side with Ben's. True, Ben is doing a good job in Sanditon. But he is no match for Sidney Parker.
@@xoxo-qc6qd Wow, good for you and for Ben to see and value him like that. Unfortunately I can’t agree with you. It is the stage presence. Rose has a strong stage presence and so does Theo. They were a perfect screen couple. Anybody replacing Theo is doomed to failure exactly for that reason. If they did it the other way round - Ben in S1 and Theo in the other 2 would have been more exciting though I can’t see Theo as Colbourne, neither Ben as Sidney.
His character development is far more dynamic and interesting as he starts off so stubborn and headstrong but later softens up and changes his entire outlook on life. Also, I personally love rivals-to-lovers tropes because there’s a lot more passion and excitement.
John 3:16 KJV For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 1 John 4:8 KJV He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 KJV 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
I was very sad when I saw Sidney had died when season 2 started. I actually cried and I was angry. But I soon came to embrace Xander and their new relationship. I loved it after all
As much as I was in shock when they had him die, if Sidney came back, he would still be married, so it would just be too complicated. Theo James was in paranormal series years ago & left after the 1st season. I think that’s what he does… Leaves you wanting 😢😅
I think Sidney is alive and his wife is keeping him hidden and pronounced dead so she could get his money. and she was very jealous! She’s a horrible person!
I think that it is sad the way Sanditon has gone. I felt that the role of Alexander Colbourne was a poor excuse and season 2 ended badly. I feel none of the actors or the script made any sense to me. The timing was all bad and both Andrew Davies and Steven Moffatt in their respective series totally misread what audiences wanted . Theo James did not make a good choice but neither did PBS or BritBox . Sanditon season 1 needed some episode changes and ITV had cancelled 6 months prior to PBS releasing it knowing episode 8 was a problem. I also think there was some hurt feelings on the way they dealt with Theo especially if they had any knowledge of being able to continue. Alexander is not the actor that Theo is. They worked together on Divergent and Theo was a lead including 2 other parts of the series Ben did only 1 . I strongly feel that behind the scenes mistakes were made and it hurt everyone. I have lost all my feeling for Sanditon I wanted to enjoy Jane Austen . What we got was the Bronte sisters instead.
@@carolegriggs3107 Thank you so much. Theo is just a wonderful actor and he was Sidney Parker. PBS made a very poor mistake. They are now fundraising and though I am a member I intend to make sure they understand how many of us feel. You made me feel so much better.
@@anitapemstein51 I'm glad of that. Theo James is a hard act to follow. He has everything needed for the part of Sidney. Charisma, manliness, body language ~ the whole works! Jane Austen would have picked him herself. The Alexander Colbourne character is irrelevant. That actor, although a good actor, in my opinion, just doesn't fit the scene at all.
@@carolegriggs3107 I so agree. @@anitapemstein51 Anita, I absolutely agree with you on all counts. This is the modern age, but in our hearts most of us remain 'old fashioned and romantic'. There can only be Sidney and Charlotte. Hope they let us have that ending to the story.
Well I am not on of those! This period drama was based on the unfinished work of Jane Austen. If you use another person’s work or name, then you are honour bound to finish it as Austen would have done. For sure she would never have had the heroine traipsing around from suitor to suitor. She would never have had the hero killed off. It would have followed the lines of her other six books, because that is the life she knew. This spoilt Theo should never have been chosen for the part if he couldn’t stay the course. All the producers had to do was add another couple of episodes, and they would have had a Jane Austen novel, and a beautiful period drama. They totally messed up and disappointed the followers of Jane Austen. I could have done a better job myself. This was not about Theo James, this was about a Jane Austen novel. Have you got it now!
I was not impressed with theo james acting.. compared to ben lloyd hughes.. ben put his heart and soul in to his role as Alexander.. i much prefer his work over james
why does the thumbnail/cover say that? the video suggest maybe they didn’t mesh but nothing is confined …and if he didn’t say that…. why put it on the thumbnail/cover that he said that?
Sidney is a controversial character, doubtful excuse to marry for money to rescue the family..he was not a gentleman wise to Charlotte but he is damn sexy and the chemistry in S1 is breathtaking! I would like to see him back!🔥
It hurts me to look at that man breaks my heart yet look I do .The think is he looks so very much like my late son..I just learned Theo is half Greek and James is one of his middle names his actual surname is Greek my son was half Morocco half British.
It's not just Sidney , Charlotte moreso. Both of them are the central main characters surrounded with the Parkers, Lady Denham, The Denhams, Babington, Crowe, and Sanditon crowd..
I do not understand how can someone leave a show , cause he(or she) found reasons not to be able, pleasanty to work with a co actor ? And Sanditon is not an original show.I haven't read the book although, and I don't know ,what was originally been written by the author,.but sounds to me like,. the actor that stands for Mr Rochester" e.g. in a tv show ,pack up his things and leave ,just because for reasons of his own ,cannot work with "Jane Eyre"...How can someone go from a tv show when he has the main role of a story that cannot be changed? What was written in the book anyhow?
Team Xander for me. At first I didn’t think Sanditon could withstand the loss of the Theo. But charlotte and her dimpled chin more than anchored the show. Also Sydney who would cold bloodedly marry a woman he didn’t love-knowing charlotte’s integrity, I would imagine she’d lose all respect for him. Xander is believable and a better match. Charlotte deserves better than what Sydney had to offer. I love the show but don’t care for its many plot holes

I honestly prefer the storyline with Alex.I think that before the dominant in the relationship was Sydney and now there is a balance.
Bring Sidney back , he makes the show so much better!!!
Nah
Did you not like Alexander?
Bring back Sydney
Theo James should be brought back. Sidney and Charlotte were great together and had great chemistry.
I guess the final option is the easiest.
i don"t even bother to continue to watch if Sidney doesn"t come back
Alexander is good, but Sidney is even better, I was sorry he went away.

And Charlotte is absolutely the right woman for Sidney

Theo needs to come back. Faking his death because he was unhappy with the rich chick is ok by me, they never really showed him as dead.
YES!

Er we had the funeral in first ep S2.

Please please bring sanditon back for a season 4 Sidney could return as knowone so his body it could have been mistaken identity
TEAM SIDNEY!!!!
We want Sydney back!
Not just him is others made the show Boom who now gone im like season 3 so boring its sad
NO NO
COME BACK THEO.
I would love to see Theo, back as Sidney.I’ve only watch watched season one. But finding out Theo won’t be back, makes me lose interest in watching the remainder series 😢
S2 and 3 are lovely and a great love story for charlotte!
Team Sidney all the way
Bring Sidney back.
Sydney en Charlotte must marry
Why isn't Colbourne right for charlotte?
TEAM SIDNEY! :)
And he takes her on a world trip!
Sydney was mean to Charlotte most of the time. Alexander was nicer to her. Didn't say as many mean things. He is a much nicer man
altogether.
Definitely
Sidney should come back.
I warmed up to Alexander. It would be sad to bring back Sidney and break Charlotte up with Alexander
Team Sydney
S2 and 3 are good if you give them a chance
👋👋👋👋 Spot on!!!!
Agreed
Agreed!

i think it would be one hell of a twist if he Sidney came back some how. like either in her dreams or he was found alive
We'd all kill for that plot twist😅
We have so many clever SidlotteFanFiction writers out there I discovered and I love the different versions of what could have been after the ending of S1 and there are some who wrote potential continuation of S2..I'd like to think that something happened that he never really married Eliza, everyone in Sanditon never knew the truth and unknown to everyone what truly happened....bugt of course all they know was he went to Antigua without Eliza. There was an open - ended story there...
yes sidney should coke back they were good togerher
Read Sanditon by Jane Austen and Another Woman. You will see how Austen would have written her novel.
Team Sydney❤
Shame Theo can’t come back but the story is good the way it is. Also, The Time Travelers Wife was actually pretty good. Sad the ratings weren’t there.
I never saw any TV series of it. I saw a movie and thought it utterly dire! I was very annoyed I'd wasted time and money going to the cinema to see it.
Sidney...
I think that Alexander is a young man very interesting, and perfectly for miss Heywood, His sad experience touched miss Heywood heart.
Solo Sidney
I want sidney back
Sanditon was a mix up right from the start. What a mess. The crazy unbelievable ending was so disappointing. Theo James dropping out
was another hit to the show and fans. Everything just seemed so unorganized and could have been so very good. So many cast members
didn't return for the next season. I miss them as well. Maybe they should have left that book where they found it. Again I think it COULD
have been a very good show.
@@Caribbeanfoodie I absolutely agree with what you say!
@@LoveMusic-nq7pi failure???? Oh you poor fool 😀😁😂🤣 guess which shows got cancelled after 1 season. Both had Theo J in it.
I am surprised so many like Sydney over Alexander who is a much nicer man and doesn't think he's God's gift to woman and the world.
His character development is far more dynamic and interesting as he starts off so stubborn and headstrong but later softens up and changes his entire outlook on life. Also, I personally love rivals-to-lovers tropes because there’s a lot more passion and excitement.
Team Sydney of course .

Yes, it's all wrecked now!

@@anitapemstein51 I'm glad of that. Theo James is a hard act to follow. He has everything needed for the part of Sidney. Charisma, manliness, body language ~ the whole works! @@carolegriggs3107 I so agree. Maybe to come back..but I don't think so....what a pity..ruined this whole movie..sorry...

Rumor and speculation. You didn’t do your research on James’ reasoning for the exit

What are you talking about? I love Sidney.
Though Theo James is gorgeous in this role, he was too far above Charlotte, though Ben as Colbourne, seems perfect for her.
I really loved time travellers wife. I was so disappointed when it was cancelled
First season for me. The other two ones are irrelevant.
It hurts me to look at that man breaks my heart yet look I do .The think is he looks so very much like my late son..I just learned Theo is half Greek and James is one of his middle names his actual surname is Greek my son was half Morocco half British.
Sidney was the best actor on the show. He left and so did I. Ratings collapsed after he left.
Definitely not. Alexander is much more appealing.
But not JANE AUSTEN !!
I'm Heybourne team and no one can change my mind😍😍😍😍
gross, you can have him, he's got less personality than a potato
Definitely Team Colbourne
Whatever........they totally ruined that show.
I read the Time Traveller's wife and saw an awful movie of it. I loathed the story. Simply horrid. Can't imagine why Theo would want to be in that.
