You don't need another version, this is the best Ballad and performance I have seen in more years than I care to remember.. Beauty, Elegance and musical brilliance.. Lovebites. They stand alone..
This is another masterpiece by amazing Lovebites. It showcases Asami’s vocals and she exudes so much emotion. Those guitars sing and cry. I really love the intro with acoustic guitars, piano and Asami’s voice. As far as I know, this is the only version of this song available from one of their concerts in Japan, and is an outstanding performance. Again, I really love when Miyako plays the piano. Btw, I have this Blu-Ray (Daughters of the Dawn, Japan, 2019)
Led Zeppelin Stairway To Heaven and Deep Purple Child In Time. I saw both bands live in 1972. And Uriah Heep Demons And Wizards. In this song, Miyako played a brilliant chord at the the end of a piano passage.
As good back then as they are now, this is just one of the masterpieces from a long list, and this concert shows this. When you have no room for improvements, all you can do is add a few minor variations, and this is how I see them. Perfection now and perfection then. 🤘🎤🎸🎹🥁🐺
Thank you for continuing the journey with Lovebites. This song gives me the shakes. Have you ever sat in a 1968 Pontiac GTO with 350 hp under the hood, and the driver is only going 25mph, and you can feel all that power in reserve, just waiting to explode, and you almost get the shakes? That's how watching this group do this song makes me feel.
Love that you give Miho some well deserved spotlight in this one as she is always so consistent in just giving the song what it needs, and therefore oft overlooked with all the other amazingness going on around her! When Miyako plays the Blues.....yeah, those are always very special moments for me!!🤘
As I said in your previous reaction leading up to this one, 'Epilogue' is the best power ballad I have heard in all my 65 years on this planet. The structure, the musicianship, the lyrics, the performance. All absolutely beautiful. My eyes weep every time I see this. The guitar solos of Miyako & Midori, were a tribute to Gary Moore. I'm sure of that. And who would have thought that Haruna could drum so slowly. Ha!Ha! You are absolutely right about Miho. Such beautiful choices for the bass lines. And the tone on her bass is so sweet. Asami's power & passion, always grab me. Can't wait to see your reaction to the last 'E song'.
I agree with you for the most part. Everybody notices the Gary Moore in Miyako's solo, especially given that bluesy feel and that superbly controlled stutter to it. Midori's solo is different however. The first time I heard this song the artist I immediately thought of was David Gilmour from Pink Floyd. Think of his solo on Comfortably Numb for instance.
Masterpiece, epic gracious. Reminds me to Still Loving You-Scorpion. They quickly continue to next song to bring back hype mood to the audience. Brilliant move.
This song and performance is a shining example of Asami's musical abilities since Epilogue is purely an Asami song both musically and vocally and considering how much she always gets the short end of the stick (criticizem) compared to the others this proves Asami puts in the work
Just brilliant review RC. I often think "this won't be possible in live" when I hear studio recorded Lovebites performances, but they always prove me that I'm wrong. They just don't need the take two when they are ready for live.
The end section by Midori had to be specially written in for the live performance as on the album the duetting guitars just play to fade out. Miyako plays 3 instruments in this performance and both guitarists play the acoustic with their electric guitars slung on their backs. Can't be the most comfortable way to play a song. I so hope they bring it back for another live show someday. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘i have looked forward to you hearing this one , it is my absolute favorite Lovebites song M&M play with pure emotion in this one Miyako makes her guitar cry and Midori..... well you head it ! and Asami get to shine in this one shows everyone exactly what her voice is capable of
Feeling under the weather, but have to leave a comment for a great reaction. I loved the way they followed the deep ballad with one of their happiest and most uplifting songs. You should check out the MV for *_Don't Bite the Dust_* on the Lovebites Channel. It is their First MV, in early 2017, with a cute story line and great guitar work (especially by Midori). Originally it had a 'break' in the middle where Asami walked down a hall with advertisements for their Shows and Album release - but they took that part out during the hiatus. 🤘🏻🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🤘🏻

When you start comparing Lovebites to Queen and Freddie, then they are truly well on their way. BTW, there's another standalone LIVE version from the same concert without "Don't Bite the Dust" : ruclips.net/video/JIAJYBuuKGM/видео.html .
another decade ? we can only hope. the unlimited talent makes it quite possible. they have 7 years now counting the year long hiatus. if japanese female rock band SCANDAL - who just entered the guinness book of world records as the longest lasting female band in history with the same members - can last 17 years and still make good songs then LOVEBITES should be more than up to it. and SCANDAL has nowhere near the talent of our metal goddesses. but i still like them a lot.
You don't need another version, this is the best Ballad and performance I have seen in more years than I care to remember.. Beauty, Elegance and musical brilliance.. Lovebites. They stand alone..
"Epilogue" is IMHO another masterpiece with a great buildup. It's so damn good!
This is another masterpiece by amazing Lovebites. It showcases Asami’s vocals and she exudes so much emotion. Those guitars sing and cry. I really love the intro with acoustic guitars, piano and Asami’s voice.

Couldn't agree more!
I wish they would play more of these earlier songs live again, this is almost a perfect song in every sense.
Led Zeppelin Stairway To Heaven and Deep Purple Child In Time. I saw both bands live in 1972. And Uriah Heep Demons And Wizards. In this song, Miyako played a brilliant chord at the the end of a piano passage.
I would love to see them create another slow ballad like this in the future. Asami really shines on the slow songs.
As good back then as they are now, this is just one of the masterpieces from a long list, and this concert shows this. When you have no room for improvements, all you can do is add a few minor variations, and this is how I see them. Perfection now and perfection then. 🤘🎤🎸🎹🥁🐺
What most impress me is the emotion puts by miyaco in this solo

Love the analogy...
Scream for Me will give you that 70s vibe of Skynyrd trade guitar solos M & M #1
Great reaction, great analysis. Please keep on reacting and supporting Lovebites. These ladies are world class talents.
Thank you! Will do!
IIRC, this is the best version of "Epilogue", it's from the Encore of "Daughters Of The Dawn", where "Don't Bite The Dust" followed immediately...
Love that you give Miho some well deserved spotlight in this one as she is always so consistent in just giving the song what it needs, and therefore oft overlooked with all the other amazingness going on around her! If you have never cried, your eyes can’t be so beautiful
If you have never been hurt, you can’t feel the pain of others

We are the only ones, forever…

THATS NOT HEAVY METAL.... THATS IS SINFONIC METAL.
