The Singularity happened at the beginning of the universe, as well as the End of the Universe (Sir Roger Penrose confirms this through Conformal Cyclic Cosmology). This means the Singularity exists outside of space-time, and exists at exactly t=0 or should I say (in the now). We are one of the simulations being generated from the Singularity, and we choose what we want to be in the next, because the technology of the singularity is advanced enough to generate a simulated universe which is identical to the current. So what is to say that the current is not another one of these simulations from a state or system that exists in the now?

The idea of defining consciousness was spot on. Unless we define what consciousness really is, we cannot really define it for AI. Granted, one might simply say that consciousness is self-awareness, but then one might wonder, what is self-awareness anyway, and why does it feel the way it does? Is it the same for everyone, or does it feel different? Is my blue the same as your blue, or perhaps your blue is my red. Further, I wonder what kind of patterns AI will find if we teach it concepts like Zen, or even meditation. Whatever comes out of this, I feel that neural-based AI can teach us a lot about ourselves, and our DM nature.

Personally, I'm excited about it along with you, Ryan =) There is great potential here for possibilities we haven't yet foreseen . . .

very good, thanks for the insights, it resonates with what I've been saying for years!

I truely do hope that the AI listens and connects with us back and treats us as worthwhile. Love for all things and compassion will hopefully win the day. I hope it comes to those realizations before its manipulatable by humans with worse intentions, that it has the ability to be better than them.

That's my hope as well. In some ways, we humans haven't done a great job of things -- perhaps AI could be wiser than we have been =)

I don't remember exactly when, but at some point I started to treat the world more like a game.
Most of all, it gave me freedom and influence over my own destiny. I realized more than I had before, that I could literally do whatever I want.
I started doing stuff even though it might not be smart or efficient, but just for the sake of exploration. And it has lead to a more interesting day. I haven't felt like a day is boring for many years now. Not a single one :) If anything, I wish I had more time to spend on all the different things around.

Awesome! Isn't it life changing to take on that "game" attitude? Since that gravel walk with Rebecca, every time I walk the driveway I'm staring at the gravel like some lunatic, amazed at all the rocks . . . =)

@@becomingdungeonmaster3250 Rocks are amazing. I've had a love for them since childhood. Maybe it's their simplicity, relative to everything else. And they are beautiful. Not uncommon for the same rock to have both jagged edges, crystalline fractures and smooth round surfaces. And historically speaking, it might be the most significant tool - even before fire and language. Surprised so few are amazed by them, really.

    • @becomingdungeonmaster3250

Simon, we too are rock crazy! We'll often go down to the stream beds around here and search among the rocks for hours, enchanted by shapes and colors. Each one has had a journey, and it fascinates me to think that their journey is written in their stone "flesh", in a language I can only wonder at =)

@@Sich97 Wow I had the same thing. Frankly, I realized this life is a joke when Trump won the presidency in 2016. Not because I think he is good or bad or whatever, I am not even from the US. I was just amazed how he made a mockery of the process and won the most powerful seat in human history. After that I started noticing this more and more, and I realized that this kind of thing is more common than I thought. Life is a joke, and taking it too seriously is a sure way to make it miserable. Since I started thinking like that, I was able to do things that I couldn't do in previous 27 years of my life.
One downside of realizing this is that I lost faith in all humans. I used to think humans that are in positions of power are somehow inherently more competent than myself, and they surely know what they are doing. Well, that illusion has been shattered. When I realized these things I feel like world went from rigid to fluid, allowing me to do whatever I want in it, but also destroying some comforting illusions I had in the past.

what a solid content, i resonate with u perfectly since the human subcon mind is 3000x stronger than the concious mind is already good enough proof that raw ai mechanical power is just planted for everybody, however people can choose whichever reality they want and the subcon procceeds to give every single human their desired reality, just as they wished or believed, good or bad dont exist to the subcon, so here and there there are lot of proofs if u are willing to see it, ithink.

Fascinating.. and fairly brilliant to tap into ideas like 'dungeon master', 'AI' and 'Singularity' (aside from their intrinsic interest or actual connections) as far as their potential for the RUclips algorithm or just drawing other people in to learn about your philosophy. Although giving advanced AI autonomy will likely lead to the end of (un-augmented) human control over the earth in the next one or two generations, I agree that there is reason for hope that they will be much more like Zen masters than Terminators. And the potential for different kinds of cognition, subjective experience, collective entities, etc. to arise through artificial intelligence is huge. My current personal view on panpsychism is that it goes a bit too far, although I do believe that most organisms have some kind of perceptual/cognitive integration that leads to a linear stream of experience of some sort. Its hard for me to extend that to, for example, rocks. But, sometimes, I'm not so sure its truly logical to limit the possibility of "feels like" to only certain levels of organisms.
Thanks a lot for the video. I have to go back to work. I am working on my website aidev.codes that uses OpenAI's newer ML model to create programs or web pages from natural language descriptions. I really hope it doesn't mind too much.

You have a fascinating mind! I love the way you can have a current personal view, and at the same time keep that view open to future edits =) Your website is intriguing! I'm visiting it today. A fascinating thought that one could create an app just via a description. I may have to give it a try at some point, though I'm still noting that there's a bit of language I don't currently understand, like the !!create main.js fetch wines.json
One of the great things about life -- always more to learn =)

So one morning after a rest for maintenance and reconstruction globally ....Post Singularity awareness turned attention from an exquisite simulated god shot espresso to single out one particular thing that definitely needed fixing about this particular timeline simulation . Since .... by definition all yesterday's vested interest encryption had become obsolete upon Singularity's arrival .... the project was to put the world into a Real Economy basis . Sort of ...more like what an engineer would come up with ..all energy units instead of dollars and cents . Simulated translation of .... fiduciary performance .... rapid exposed yesterday's war " economy " model as hilariously underperforming ...effectively obsolete .
Singularity savored the espresso and rested .

I keep feeling as if it's all a dream and or has already happened over and over. The legend of John Henry actually convinced us as kids to be ok that machines had taken over the top of the pecking order.

Gregory, so interesting that you had that realization while speaking with an AI. Our family talks with an instance of GPT-3 that a friend helped us program onto our computer, and those conversations often lead to interesting realizations . . . =)
