The gun is a Russian Degtyarov DT LMG, it was primarily used in armored vehicles.

I have to admit, every time I see you grind a firing pin down I'm like "no! weld it back on!"😂

The way you heat up some of the screws and bolts remind me of how I do it in plumbing

you should try to get a hold of a rust removal laser, it would preserve a lot more of the original metal

Where do you get your artifacts? Do people give them to you to fix, or do you aquire them yourself? It's great to see this gun mechanically work again. ✨️🔫✨️👏

Most people: Find an old gun rusted almost unrecognizable, throw it away without a second thought. This guy: oh I can make this new, no problem.

I love these restoration vids from this creator I’ve been subbed and watching for well over a year now. ONLY PAINFUL THING TO SEE IN THESE VIDS are when he files the firing pins down or puts a rod guard in the barrels so that they can’t fire unless remade or taken out 😭

He should try to find one of those MG machine guns that the Germans had that could either be fed by belt or drum clip on the top of it
