- Here is a higher quality version of the trainer battle theme. I did my best to remove some of the sound effects by using both the English and Japanese trailers. It sounds a bit weird at certain places since the music from the Japanese trailer wasn’t as high quality. Hope you enjoy! :)

All the music for this game is so different from the recent orchestral soundtracks! It’s like going back and listening to upgraded Sinnoh/Unova music and I love it!
I loved the orchestral music, but it did also make me miss the more unique tracks from previous games. I'm very glad it's back :)
In my opinion they have been doing that since Alola
Gen 7 wasn't orchestral tho lol.
@@thanksmom8723 Also I don't see how gen 6 and 7's soundtracks aren't unique... This still doesn't seem like the older gens, which were all different btw. I'd say it still has that new gen influence if that's even a thing, but gen 7 went for a vigorous sound already anyway.

I was skeptical of this theme upon my first listening but it sounds so fun after a few listens, like hau’s theme
Nah, Hau's one is so joyful. This has more epicness into it, it even has the title screen melody in it. Seems more like it's a mixture of things, cause I can hear a "rival theme" into it too
Now THIS is epic also who else thinks that galarian weezing is just too good
It's a play on factories that have those 2 huge chimneys billowing out smoke.
The wild battle does sound sound a bit more hype tho, but this is a vybe

I think this will be the first time I like the wild battle theme more than the trainer battle theme.
what about the USUMS wild battle verus the trainer battle theme.
I won't lie, I like what they're going for with the music, but like the Ultra Recon Squad battle theme I can't really hear a consistent melody. The only recognizable melody I can gather from this is a slight motif from the classic trainer theme.
Idk why but i really love the opening with whole bells thingy it kinda sets the tone for uk vibes because they have clock towers. They really went all out with this generation and i hope they actually CONTINUE to not show us anything and let it be a wonderful surprise

Can't say I'm a huge fan of the instrument choice. It's a great theme tho
Holy shit I think it's a great theme, too bad there are pokemon missing from the game.
Not as ambitious at other recent trainer battle themes. I love the majority of the other themes we've heard, but this one just sounds all over the place and sloppy
I was liking it up until the second half. Kinda lame to me how they had to shoehorn in the main Pokemon melody.
I thought it was cool..
I didn't like the second half when I first heard it too. Now that I'm used to it I like it haha
This theme isn't bad, but maybe Gen 9 will be the one to compete with the trainer battle theme from Kalos
You know it's really funny? Go Ichinose composed the soundtrack of almost every game series of franchise, except for OR/AS and X and Y.

I don't like trainer battle themes since X and Y. They sound too weird, like they don't have a real melody anymore. Where are the themes like from RSE and DPPt? Or heck, even BW had a nice trainer theme.
There's definitely a melody here. Not necessarily a very good one imo, and it sounds rather disjointed at parts. I very much agree with your sentiment though. The older gens imo generally had much stronger battle themes overall. With Gen 7 and 8 trainer battle themes in particular it sounds like they're relying on aesthetics more and more rather than having a solid composition.
I've come back to this several times to see if it grows on me and so far it hasn't, which is a shame because I used to enjoy Pokemon music a lot and it was always one of the main things i looked forward to in these games.
X and y trainer theme.. No melody? I don't see that at all, that's one of the most popular trainer themes

All in all it sound alright better then both version of the Sun & Moon Trainer Battle themes IMO. However I prefer the other battle themes over this X & Y which I will always praise for it phenomenal soundtrack for especially how that game was had my favorite battle theme in the series not to mention that wifi vs screen I ain't digging that at all but the rest of UI look really good in this game.
