This is the 4th installment of the Heavenly Residential Area, Yokosuka edition. This time, we will start from the Wakamatsu Market, a night restaurant area that developed from a black market in front of Yokosuka Chuo Station, and then go to Fukadadai, Kamimachi Shopping Street, Tadodai, the former Kashiwakita red-light district, Kamimachi 3-chome and 4-chome, Fuyutocho. In the military city of Yokosuka, there is a port town called Otaki-cho on a flat coastline, and the residential area spreads out on the hill. I have. If you look at the townscape of Kamimachi shopping street, you can see that many buildings from the Showa prewar period remain. In Southern Kanto, after the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, wooden townhouses with copper plate exteriors began to be built as noncombustible architecture. The Japanese style is a detached townhouse, and the Western style is a billboard architecture, but it can be said that this Kamimachi shopping street is one of the leading historic townscapes in the southern Kanto region. There is also a place where the former Kashiwakita red-light district was located in the back.
Fukadadai and Tadodai have many former navy-related facilities, giving the impression of a flat residential area despite being on a hill. On the other hand, from Kamimachi 3-chome 4-chome to Funyuuto-cho, there are a lot of steep residential areas like Shioiri-cho where cars cannot enter. It is a heavenly residential area unique to Yokosuka.

保土ヶ谷の住人ですが、横須賀は格が違います。歩くとホント疲れますが、食の良いし楽しく面白い街ですね。上町商店街は勉強になりました。

観直しました！冒頭の海軍カレーの漁監停の看板見てまだやって居るのかと思ったが息子さんが違う場所でやっていますね。元は大通りから外れた場所で街宣車の用な派手な店でしたが二度行きましたね。

横須賀の天界を見ると毎度ながら、ここに住んでる方の日常が気になります。
いつもありがとうございます。横須賀いいです。天界の住宅地は愉しい！ あと横須賀と長崎は共通点がいっぱいですね。斜面上住宅地、軍港、諏訪神社、お疲れさまでした。
こんにちはいつもありがとうございます。天界の住宅地横須賀は裏切らないですね。でもこれは傍観者の発言で、横浜のセントバックとか接道義務とかレベルではありません。住んでいる人やまた相続した人は建て替え、立て直し、売却等大変ですね。
素晴らしい企画私は三浦市在住何で横須賀は良く行きますね
海軍と艦艇が趣味のひとつですので海側は時々行くのですが、坂の上の方は行ったことがなく、鎮守府司令長官官舎がここに残っているのは知りませんでした。上町商店街のみどり屋さん、いい建物ですね。建物を拝見して神輿を担ぐときの半股引、鯉口シャツなど購入しに行きたいと思っています。
地元の人間でもめったに行かない路地、山道をアップダウンを物ともせずに踏破して探索する健脚と根性は敬服いたします。横須賀中央に生まれてから35年暮らしておりましたが、四分の一位は知らない道でした。昔の面影が色濃く残っているところや、まるっきり様子が変わってしまっているところを食い入るように拝見させていただきました。でも、よくこんな車も入らない山襞（ひだ）の上下に迷路のように広がる路地と家並み、年配者には優しくない街でしたね＾＾； 山坂階段ばかりの細道の中に今も暮らしている人々の逞しいパワーを感じさせられました。最後の方に写っていた若松マーケットの古いビルの階段下に貼ってあるヒロミダンス教室の看板、えっ！？ まだあったの？？ 存命なら90歳を超す私の母が通っていたダンス教室でした。
