However, it's a shame that it was taken out after I believe 2k16. As a result, we can still do King of the Ring or gold rush in play mode but not Universe.

Remember when your opponent get an injury he fall to knee or he just does an act like he hurt ,with another two levels of colors of damage, 2k19.. what a game
This is such a small thing about 2K23. Why can’t Shows & PLE’s have music anymore in Universe mode? The RAW, Smackdown, NXT, & PLE themes are still in the game when you create a entrance. I was a little disappointed when I discovered this I hope they fix this in 2K24.
I loved the selling the pre 2k20 wwe games. People hated the slowed realistic pace.. i think it could've stayed had everything else in the game were exciting. An example are the moves themselves almost all finishers look boring when compared to No mercy, DoR, or SvR
I feel like I’m going crazy.. I remember a feature in one of the 2k games after 14 but before 20, where you can create a titantron. But there was an option to automate based on the theme & superstar you selected. It would load for a second & then you can preview the video which would be an old school highlight reel style tron & your wrestler will be performing their taunts, signature & finisher moves whatever rivals you had assigned in play mode. You can then save it & assign it to any wrestler as a titantron. I loved it so much but I never see anybody in Wrestling VG YT talk about it so it’s starting to get Mandela effect-like 😭
The fact the weapon system is so lacking compared to where it use to be still shocks me. Specifically tables, the level of destruction you use to be able to cause with tables was wonderful
The thing i like about 2k20 is being able to actually unlock everyone. Even the original characters in career mode. Nobody's locked out behind some shitty pay 2 win mobile game wannabe.
I miss from 2k19 there was an online mode for ur custom character where you could only fight other people's custom characters and you'd get xp to upgrade ur character, easily my most played mode in any wwe game
2K18's underrated thing was its MyCareer. Though not the form it shipped with but what it could have been in the future if they kept at it. Those of us that enjoyed Season Mode in the old Smackdown games would have loved 2K18's my career as it was kinda set the same way. You could walk backstage and talk to people to set up matches and get championship matches too. Get involved in feuds and backstage brawls. The worst thing about it imo, was that you HAD to win. You could not lose or else you were forced to do it again and again and again until you won. I teamed with the Usos for a Survivor Series match against 3 other men and we kept losing but the game forced us to do it every new show and ppv until I beat it. It sucked. Took the fun out of it. Imo the way you make that mode better. Obviously have us be able to lose, have stories that you can take part of but have branching paths for replayability, maybe the ability to start feuds and storyline by doing various things you want to do like talking negatively to someone or attacking them back stage, interfere on any match and attack who you wish to go against, be able to go out and do a promo on a select few people on the roster including champions. Depending on your spot on the card or your popularity it increases the chance of the champion showing up, it can happen at low pop but it's very rare and if a champion does not come out you lose popularity. As well as like calling out a legend or something. And for matches like Royal Rumble or MITB you have to qualify for any of them. Only being able to under certain popularity goals. That would have been more fun imo
While I still don’t like the 2K games as much as the SVR series, every game does have at least 1 thing I love. 2K15 for me, the graphics still hold up well, the Ruthless Aggression Era content, and even CM Punk one last time before leaving the company, 2K16 with the largest roster at the time, amazing Attitude Era content, and improved gameplay over 2K15, 2K17 with the return of backstage areas and even some members of the roster I loved such as The Dudleys and New Age Outlaws, etc., 2K18 with a decent soundtrack in my opinion, decent graphics, and a large variety in the roster, 2K19 with the return of Showcase, the Career mode was fun, the soundtrack was great, the gameplay was improved a lot, new match types were added, and the roster was really good, and lastly with 2K22 and 23, the return of arcade gameplay elements was fun, the soundtracks were cool at least for me, Wargames being added for 23 was great, and lastly, these 2 games added fun back to the series for me, that I haven’t gotten since 14. So yeah, they may have their flaws, but 2K when done right, their games can be somewhat fun.👍
For some WWE '13 "online" veterans.. I remember when entering the online portion, you had like a notification board that usually had updates like the new DLC to buy.. But most didn't know how to access the branching storyline cutscenes.
2k24 should bring back the minor paybacks which was from 19 and 20. It sucked that we only had 1 payback for 22 with them removing minor paybacks and just having major paybacks. 23 did update it so we can 2 paybacks but still major paybacks
Ive been thinking about playing WWE 2K16 again. My only problem with it is you couldnt make title matches in Universe Mode but I read that they patched it in. If anyone can comfirm that you can set up title matches in Universe Mode in WWE 2K16 id appreciate it and will defininatly be getting WWE 2K16 again.
I got 2K20 after all the patches rolled out for 10 dollars a few months before 2K22. Even though the models don't look the best, there's a ton of content within, and it was DEFINATLEY worth the 10 dollars. I stopped playing it after I got 2K22, but I might make a stop back to 2K20 before I move to PS5 to see what of the game I missed. Too bad it had a terrible launch

While it's not as memorable as the GM Mode, the Universe Mode is really entertaining. I can't speak for most fans but it's fun to be a booker and create matches on TV shows and pay-per-views. 😊
I have maintained from day one that 2k20 was not nearly as bad as people made it out to be. yes the launch was terrible and those glitches and problems meant it deserved plenty of criticism but like it was not the death of wrestling games that people acted like it was. Once it got some much needed patches it became an enjoyable game. It had some of my favorite dlc with the crazy gimmick rings and alternate versions of wrestlers. I loved the Halloween themed one especially.
Being that WWE2K17 is one of my least favorite of the WWE2K series, I will say the best thing about that game was the HOF Showcase, the only problem is that unless you still have the DLC from 2017 you can no longer get access to that showcase anymore. And while WWE2K20 was a hot mess, since all the patches that's been done, I haven't had any issues with it whenever I play it, which isn't very much, but still. And yes they do have a lot of extra content, but Red and Tre are still the worst. It's funny how they are never referenced in the My Rise for WWE 2K22 or 23. Because they're so damn unlikable.
