Not counting things like Road To Wrestlemania or Defeat The Streak, but something that covered his entire career from arriving in the WWF to his "retirement", maybe even incorporating some of his time as Mean Mark. Imagine the roster they could have, imagine the arenas, it'd be so expansive and cover every era of WWF/WWE from 1990 to now. Buried Alive, Hell In A Cell, Boiler Room Brawl, Casket Matches, Inferno Matches...they could even include the Punjabi Prison Match if they really wanted. Now that would be a game worth the money.
I think 2k16 had the best showcase, you actually got unique characters like Haku and Savio Vega. Not just "Danniel Bryan with a Shorter Beard" or "Sasha banks but with bluer hair"
There were 3 Stone Colds that are mostly the same, yes. But you also had Superstar and Stunning steve which were actual unique characters. There is no difference at all hardly between the 10 Rey Mysterio's, 6 Daniel Bryan's, etc to warrant them being differnt people@@JC-wn3ig
Personal gaming story about 2k14, along with defeat the streak, there was defend the streak and i kid you not, the first superstar that came out when I played defend the streak (which was at the WM 30) was against Brock Lesnar. As if the game itself was trying to warn me of what was coming.
10 man matches would be amazing. We could really do a true traditional survivor series elimination match for the first time ever. 5v5 elimination style has always been something I've wanted in a wwe game.
Best thing about 2k19 by far is the gameplay itself. I’ve played through the career mode once for the experience. I’m playing the game this very second because the gameplay has yet to be topped. The two recent games have about half of the depth of 2k19’s gameplay. My universe is still going (think I’ve been on this one since early 2021) and with the roster I’ve downloaded I can easily get 3 or 4 more real-time years out of it.
2k19 is the only one I own and it is great. I played it for years until recently when my PS4 keeps ejecting the game disc. I love creating 100 original characters and putting them to battle each other. I especially like doing Royal Rumble matches with my creations. It’s more exciting than watching actual modern day wrestling. The game’s roster are my jobbers and my creations are the true stars in my game’s universe. I love it. I was actually finally able to create a character with my actual likeness. It has my hair and beard to a T. My name is actually almost in it, too. Just one letter off. Funny thing there is a wrestler in today’s roster that almost has my in game name with the same one letter off and they added another letter! I was shocked to see that. I won’t reveal who that is, but it’s cool to see. The only things I would change is better hairstyles, more blood patterns, the ability to put custom rules in Royal Rumble like adding pins & submissions only Rumble, and better pin kick out system. The pin kick out system is my real only gripe as I would beat the Hell out of my opponent and even if I have full health and their basically dead, they’d go for a random pin, they’d sometimes win, because the pin kick out system is too difficult to do.
@@AntonXul- To stop the PS4 from ejecting your disc randomly i found out there's you have to turn your PS4 over and under the eject button is a small long plastic piece that needs to be pulled out. It's only there to keep the system leaning upwards. So from now on if it's on a flat surface it won't randomly eject it anymore.
Gameplay sucked from 2K15 to 2K20, 2K19 included it was far too slow and it was too worried with boring simulation gameplay. 2K22 is a return to form, getting rid of the shit sim gameplay.
@@gajofixe76 - The stupid combo system of 2K22 is what killed it for me. The Game looks great but having to use that to do moves kills the game play. They made it easy so casual players can pick up and play it but ruined it for those that have been playing it for years.
I gotta say, for me the best thing about 2k23 is the updated graphics for CAWS. I remember in an interview before the game released they said they were going to try and make it as realistic as possible, bc in past games, no matter how good you tried to make your CAW, something still felt off compared to other models. Now, my CAW actually looks like it could be a real person. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely an improvement.
I'd say the best part about WWE 2K18 is the Roster. Brand Extension was back and both shows had a revamp in terms of both numbers and star power. Raw had a strong Main Event Scene but SmackDown had a stronger Mid Card, NXT had a Roster full of names from ROH and PWG. The Cruiserweights were still on RAW but you could decide if making them exclusive to the Red brand or making them available for all three shows or just close them up on 205 Live. For someone like me who lives off of fantasy booking with everyone on my Roster I definitely had a blast playing it.
For me, the best thing about WWE 2k20 is the 2k Originals. I love creating original characters, and the unique CAW items (post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, and horror) are perfect for what I am doing most of the time. I hope they add more like that.

While the 2K games aren’t as great as the classics, the positives that some of the games had, are amazing. 2K16’s showcase and nostalgic Attitude Era content, 2K19’s gameplay and polished feel, 2K22’s return to arcade like gameplay and updated graphics, 2K23’s inclusion of Wargames, etc. So while I don’t enjoy these games as much, these inclusions truly are nice, and I only hope they continue to improve as the years go by.👍
Everything after 19 is subpar. 22 feels gutted compared to 19, 23 even more so. I don’t know why 2k insists on removing things that no one wanted to get removed. Universe used to be fun but now it’s a half assed mode in 23.
In 20 I kinda liked the dlc modes they was new and quite fun to play through and unlocking alternate versions of wrestlers was fun like Seth the wanderer and the grand champion Bastia etc it was kinda cool
2K20 might've been buggy and with an awful career mode, but it was fun. The most creative entry. I was actually disappointed by the creative suite and arenas of the next to games.

hopefully they make 5 on 5 war games in 2k24 when it comes out next year. i want to try this match type when i bring back my FWL roster when i get 2k24 after i make my superstars and unlock everything in the game. i would have done this in 2k23 but the updates would just download so slowly so i just gave up on that one. i'll get 2k24 for the ps5 so the updates and the game goes faster.
We need create a story from the smackdown vs raw mode back for future title. With the online community it would boost the replay value like crazy. Hope it returns one day
2k15 was my first WWE game (from the 2k series), can't compare it to the others, but it was a fun. Despite all the fails in previous releases, 2k23 is a massive improvement and a great game I love playing almost daily since release.

How about a monday night wars game with a goldberg dedeat the streak mode. Imagine a game mode where u hav2 play through the most infamous monday night nitros and raws. You play through until vince purchased wcw.

I wish you could do triple threat and fatal four way tag team matches with tags (either two or four men in the ring at once plus the ref) and not just tornado tag versions. Also 10 man tags would be great for survivor series matches.

2K14 wasn't the first game to have rivalries. Technically SRV2011 and W12 had rivalries but matches and cutscenes wasn't organised, things kinda just happened at random. But to be honest I miss those early years of Universe, just never knowing what might occur on any match that had a rivalry tag on it, it was pretty fun and always kept you guessing. But the rivalry system as it is now where rivalries attempt to follow a storyline instead of random stuff just happening, that started in W13, not 2K14. I played W13 for like 2 1/2 (my PS3 save file corrupted at one point) and back then I played Universe. I actually skipped 2K14, just something about how it looked, I didn't like it. And I skipped 2K15. So I stayed on 13 pretty much up until 16 then I got back into buying the games yearly. I remember thinking 2K adding storylines to rivalries really hurt universe. It felt like universe just kept running the same 2-3 storylines over and over and over again. I remember really missing the "anything can happen" aspect of SCR2011 very early universe. Even in 2K20 I felt like Universe still didn't vary storylines nearly enough. I can't speak for 22 or 23, I own these games and played them a absolute ton, but after 20 I gave up on universe. With 22/23 I basically complete showcase then spend my time in play mode.
I swear the weapon wheel in 2K20 was in 2K14 and 15 (on the 360), didn't know they removed that on current gen cause 2K22 is my first and only 2K game on current gen
Hot take, as someone at the time that didn’t dealt with Legend difficulty, when playing Defeat The Streak and unlocking Eddie Guerrero took away my enjoyment of WWE 2K14 which is why I prefer WWE ‘13. It also forced me to play 2K15’s showcase mode on Legend difficulty because of said achievements. Let’s just say, my gaming days since 2K have ceased. However, that’s my experience.

You clearly didn't play the best thing in 2K20 if you picked the "weapon wheel". The entire 2K Originals pack which brought us new arenas, some new outfits for characters, creation parts, and one of those weapons you used in your example. When the game ran, those 2K Originals showcases were really good, and different from every other showcase they've done before and since. I hope we get more wacky showcase stuff in the future, it'd be a nice addition to a rather stale formula when it comes to these showcases.

Defeat the streak was rather easy if you have a superstar that can use the opponent’s finisher. This way you only need 1 finisher

I remember really missing the "anything can happen" aspect of SCR2011 very early universe. Even in 2K20 I felt like Universe still didn't vary storylines nearly enough.
I can't speak for 22 or 23, I own these games and played them a absolute ton, but after 20 I gave up on universe. With 22/23 I basically complete showcase then spend my time in play mode.
Anyone ever noticed they predict the future of wwe I started to think of it more and more after the beat the streak,
IMO the 2k20 soundtrack carried more than the weapon wheel.

Hot take, as someone at the time that didn’t dealt with Legend difficulty, when playing Defeat The Streak and unlocking Eddie Guerrero took away my enjoyment of WWE 2K14 which is why I prefer WWE ‘13. It also forced me to play 2K15’s showcase mode on Legend difficulty because of said achievements. Let’s just say, my gaming days since 2K have ceased. However, that’s my experience.

I wish they made a modern WWE game with the classic Attitude or Ruthless aggression era roster. Personally I don’t really care about today’s superstars.
Slobber knocker mode needs to come back. I want endless fresh superstars one after another while im retaining damage. That was one of the best modes ever in my opinion of all wwe games. Shut your mouth i believe it was in.
2k22 also had amazing community creations. Especially if you wanted to do a BCW universe mode.

You clearly didn't play the best thing in 2K20 if you picked the "weapon wheel". The entire 2K Originals pack which brought us new arenas, some new outfits for characters, creation parts, and one of those weapons you used in your example. When the game ran, those 2K Originals showcases were really good, and different from every other showcase they've done before and since. I hope we get more wacky showcase stuff in the future, it'd be a nice addition to a rather stale formula when it comes to these showcases.
