Using Python with Power BI

Are you curious about using Python with Power BI?
We'll take a look at the realities of using Python for importing, manipulating and visualising data.
TLDR; Would I use this feature?? - Not really. Unless you've got something already working in Python that you absolutely must preserve; I'd work to reimplement with native Power BI features.
Python can of course be used to prepare data for import to Power BI. That's probably a better use of your Python skills (i.e. upstream processes 'outside' of Power BI).

How to use python scripts on power bi service?

If you want to use Python scripts with published reports, then you'd either need to...
1. Update data locally, and republish to update the report in Power BI service
2. Install a Data Gateway and configure the published report to update via the data gateway (which will connect to a machine with Python installed, and run the script).
It seems you'd need to use a personal data gateway...
