I noticed the same thing as you about the cover and wondered why they chose to design Creeper and The Watchers similarly. I plan to get around to The Watchers sometime next year. I tried to pick it up immediately after finishing Creeper and quickly found out that the audiobook didn't catch my attention. I'll have to try again with the ebook next time I want to read folklore-inspired horror. You made some great observations I'll need to be mindful of during my reading experience, especially the change in writing mimicking or paralleling the character's state of mind. I don't know if I would have caught that. Good eye!

They are a hit or miss for me, which is why I don’t read books in that format exclusively.
