Thank you so much for giving a lot of time for the instrument to speak. I don't exactly have a way to check out guitars in person easily right now so videos are the next best thing. Problem is, a lot of people don't give enough time to let the instrument itself be heard! I want to hear the different ways it can sound. I was a bit frustrated with most videos I had found before this one. Well done.
☑️ I now have a GAS family of [relatively inexpensive] Ibanez acoustics of which includes this model , a couple AEG, a couple OM vintage and fingerstyle, and an AE auditorium ; I must say this little beauty is a winner and a gem amongst them all ; so happy with the AEWC400TKS _done with ibanez purchases for now❓️⁉️🤔🤨🥺😳😬😝🙂😉😊
Thanks for letting me know..I use that gauge as well and find I can play the same riffs on this guitar due to it's design as with my electrics. I also purchased the Ibanez AEW32FM (same neck and pickup I believe) just slightly thinner body and the AEWC4012FM which is the identical body but 12 string version. The plugged in sound is the best I've heard compared to any other guitar including $5000-$6000 Taylors. I own 30 guitars (including a beautiful Taylor) and these three mentioned above I play the most. Really enjoy your video and the other one where use use this guitar in combo with your electric! Looking forward to more using this guitar should you decide to make more!
Hi Paul. What do you think about AEWC11? Does it has the same comfortable play and nice sound? Maybe the body is not that beauty like this and the one you mentioned? Can you help me in this?
@@cintiaszabo2104 Hi there..from what I see with the AEWC11, it would have a better acoustic sound with a spruce top then the AEWC400 which has a maple top It would have pretty much the exact same plugged in sound as what you hear in this video as they use the same Fishman Sonicore pickup. You definitely won't go wrong as these are hard to beat for the price and sound awesome plugged into an acoustic amp. As far as looks, I think the AEWC11 looks great ! very similar to the one in this video.
Just ordered mine, can't wait, my old acoustic has a huge chunk in it (and I mean the side is coming off of it), bene playing Ibanez for a while now with my electrics and I am now going to university for music so I badly needed a new acoustic guitar this looks and sounds amazing so I can't wait for it to be delivered!
I was going to get a Seagull S6 Ele. Acoustic but they ran out so ive been looking at these I cant play im trying but I guess these are as good as any, great playing !
Is that a bit of Opeth's 'A Fair Judgement' I heard in there? :) I love the look of this guitar but I'd be playing it mainly unplugged and I worry it will sound a little thin that way? Especially compared to some cheaper Ibanez alternatives
I love the looks & design of this guitar. Not able to find one locally to test out. How is the actual acoustic sound? Is it "thin" like it sounds in a lot of the videos? I have an AEG20ii now, and really like that guitar. But I wouldn't want anything that would not sound at least as good as that. /Thanks
Just picked one of these up. It's not thin sounding at all in my opinion. I was actually surprised how full sounding it is considering the thinner body style. It's also the most comfortable acoustic I've ever played.
You are a fantastic player! I own the same guitar, can you please tell me if you changed out the stock string to another brand and gauge? I normally use Elixir custom light strings
I assume the rosewood fretboard and bridge have been stained as they usually come lighter and not as figured (the sanded neck is obviously a modification, which hints that staining is another mod). If so, did you stain the rosewood parts yourself and which stain was used? I'm interested in buying one, and so far this darker, figured rosewood has made it look the best example of this model I've seen yet, so I'd have to stain mine the same way! Thanks.
I didn't stained any wood, it came stock as it is. I guess they used some different type of rosewood (brazilian rosewood differs from east indian rosewood also in the color), also because of the new restrictions that now occurs for all the "Dalbergia" family of trees. This one looks like the indian type to me.
The guitar is awesome, btw what's the name of the song you play on 2.34 - 2.50? I've learned the part you show in the video, does it have the continuation?
I'm also looking into this guitar and from my research on it so far the only significant difference seems to be that this one has a laminate flamed maple top, while AEWC300 has a solid spruce top.
I believe mine came setup quite well. I always get the action adjusted with all my guitars including this one as I like low action. It's the best you can ask for as far as I'm concerned, very low action. easy to play and no fret buzz.
Hi. Can you please tell me how good does this guitar sound unplugged? I'm looking for something that's smaller and comfortable that I can just pick up and play in my apartment at low volumes, so I'm not too concerned about the sound, but I've heard people say that it sounds like absolute dog shit unplugged, which scares me a bit, because even though I put comfort and playability over the sound, I don't really want to spend my money on something that's only usable when it's plugged into an amp.
Hi there, I own this guitar and yes the sound is a bit thin unplugged compared to a full size acoustics but if you want something to play around your apt and not too loud then it will do. It's very easy to play and nice looing as you can see and really nice plugged in. For the price it has alot to offer...
I recently got the blue version of this and it absolutely slaps.

Hey Marco, hello from Washington state, USA. Nice video and your licks are impressive for sure. Happy Holidays. Hope to hear more from you bud.
Marco that means Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. And I like your guitar ability. I enjoyed the video.

You're so lucky!
@@how_to_mikan it came and it's beautiful love the cutaways and it sounds great on a AKG P170 small diaphragm condenser, in love with it!
Getting this because you can control tone with the amp to reduce some of that tin on the high end

I just wanna ask if you found and try one by now, i just wanna know if it really sounds good
You found one already?
Found one yet?
So comfy I love this thing.
Can i play this guitare with Nothing cabel?
Tm yes
Im needing a feedbackbuster for this guitar but the hole seems smaller than the normal? Any advice?
Im happy to hear Slient Man again from someone who can play it :) Great review
I thought I wasn’t crazy when I heard the melody I came looking in the comments

Thank you very much, i use Elixir too, a set of 11's on this one
11 acoustic or electric? Thanks

Hi im want this guitar. this guitar i looking site sale. this out of stock??please tell me.
how is playability at the 20th case ?
ahhhh play Malagueña.Gracias mi amigo!

I was improvising, i guess you can find that progression in a thousand songs, but in my mind a little extract from "innuendo" by Queen
Do you what the difference between the AEWC 400 is from the AEWC 300?
I'm also looking into this guitar and from my research on it so far the only significant difference seems to be that this one has a laminate flamed maple top, while AEWC300 has a solid spruce top.
is it a hard top guitar.??
Action string how mm?
They look cool. Are they full size just slimmer?
sounds much better than my resonata musima much brighter maybe good reason to buy, thanks for sharing your opinion.
Does anyone know if this guitar has low action ?

I got mine professionally set up and they got it down to 1.7 on high E so it's definitely possible to get it low
Nice video, great licks. Cool guitar. Does it sound like a Yamaha?
thanks, but i don't know what you mean by that
What is this tune in the beginning of this video called???
It's me improvising 😉
@@TheMisanthropist432 Very nice 👍🏻
Bellissima!
Would you recommend it for an absolute beginner?
Absolutely, the similarities with the electric guitar and the contours provide a less painful experience.
Amazing guitar but fantastic playing to 👍🎸
Thanks

Can you play percussion guitar on this guitar or does it sound strange with that thin body
I don't think it that thin.. it's still 4 inches in depth. tbh i really want to get this guitar but i would like it to be a little thinner
"Percussion guitar?" No.
Is it thin?
indeed, good for electric players
@@FluffMuffy what about just strictly acoustic playing?
@@rileydd08 Yeah I was assuming you were going from electric to acoustic, it is a thin model in comparison to other acoustics
it's thin, but i tried the takamine of my brother and acousticly there's not so much difference in terms of volume
What model guitar case do you have for this?
nothing
I feel bad for that guitar... hes hammering it :-)
Ehehehe i dig in pretty hard
Does it sound good?
It sounds good to me.
fretboard Walnut fretboard
I thought the video would end and you wouldn't play the guitar.
по-моему, звучит ужасно
I think the cutaway is ugly.
without amp this guitar sucks - I got one of them -crap
