    Omg. So cute. My quaker is 1 1/2 yrs old now. She is a spoil little brat. The only time she is in her cage is when it is time for bed. Free birdie. She loves massages, veggies and playing with the kids. We love our kiwi. We have had her since she was 4months old. 😍

    i have a baby quaker parrot and if it helps, instead of using a spoon to feed her, try using a syringe with a plastic tip. OMG ITS HELP ALOT. Also make sure she gets get attention from everyone that lives with you, if no she could maybe be aggresive but i dont think you should worry about it. Handle her ALOT and dont over feed her because with baby birds, they cant puke so the food they cant take in will go into their air pipe which is how they breath. It can sufferate them for i reccomend 3 and a half syringes. love your vids so much

    Little nugget.☺ P.S. She's not flapping her wings because she wants to fly. They call what she's doing a "wing quiver." Baby birds do that to tell their parents they want to be fed. Of course, you're not the bird's parent, but that is their way of communicating to you, as well. Notice how the wing flapping stopped after you started feeding her!

    Thanks so much for this video, it was rlly useful lol. The pouch is called a “crop” and I think all birds have it. It’s where the food goes before it gets digested and all that. Thanks for helping me out with this

    Very cute baby you did a good job with this video. One of my babies Tilly was talking before he was 5 months old. His first words were Good boy. 😊 I own four Quakers and have hand fed many times. Quakers are screamers they can be very loud. If they’re bored or want attention on your food. I always say they’re like toddlers lol. You can order pipettes that won’t cause as much of an issue as the syringe or as much of a mess as the spoon lol. They can be quite messy little babies which I’m sure you’ve learned. Love the newspaper idea it definitely helps with mess and easy cleanup. You’re Quakers should be on a pellet diet that should be 60 to 70% of their daily intake. They should also be eating fresh vegetables 10% fruit in moderation at around 5%. They can also have things like 100% whole grain noodles in moderation and boiled egg. Quakers are not meant to have an all seed diet, it’s actually dangerous and can cause fatty liver disease. The cage should an absolute minimum of 18” x 18” x 18”, with a bar spacing of 5/8”. Pinterest can be super helpful in finding a good variety of fresh foods they can eat along with a list of dangerous things for your birds. Thank you for sharing, I love watching them eat and play.

      Jessica Herrera perfect! I just got a baby Quaker that’s a bit older than yours so the video would be really helpful! I think he’s about 2 months, he hasn’t been eating much which could be due to his stress of new surroundings

    • @jessicaherrera9253

      yea for sure, in the beginning it’ll b very stressful but trust me he’ll get used to you quickly. Still try your best to feed him as much as he can eat !

    Millet, do you give them? Which is a cereal with high protein for birds? I have two Quakers still being hand-fed @ 3 months.

      I just got a baby yesterday. He doesn’t have a feeding response like this baby where he bobs his head- mine doesn’t do that. He’s a BIG baby too so I guess he was getting his nutrition. Anyways the baby doesn’t want to eat more than 4ml of food in a sitting. I’m getting worried. I was told to feed 3-4x a day. He flies and is about 4-5 weeks I can tell from feathers alone. What am I doing wrong?

    This is horrible...that box is way too tiny for the baby. The cage is way too small for the other Quaker.

    • @jessicaherrera9253
      @jessicaherrera9253  3 года назад +1

      The box was just to feed them, and the cage is just when he’s done eating, he has a bigger cage, plus he’s barely in his cage because I have him out as much as possible.Thank you for your concern though !
