Something like Dragon Ball Z is just a hollow and empty vessel for people craving Shonen esque wish fulfillment. Also, by the way Shenlong/Shenron is a dragon from Eastern mythology. It isn't Akira Toriyama's creation.
Man can’t believe how long it took me to watch the anime adaptation. I read the manga in the late 2000s when I was in middle school. Such a fun series and it seems like the anime captures it perfectly.
This was one of those rare anime gems that didn't get enough attention. It needs a new series, reruns or a proper dvd release.
