Master Byron has raised the bar so high for all other tai chi teachers! He's the master of his art, he's funny, he's fun, he's a great teacher, etc. His students are very lucky indeed!

Gives a new meaning to ' hold the ball.' and ' my opponent starts first, but I finish first.' Good stuff ,Sifu! Thank you 😊

I recently found your site. Just started taking taiji about 1 year ago. New to push hands. Your RUclips training is the best I have seen. Also, interested in Water Tai Chi. Too bad the book you use is only in Chinese. Wish you either had online training or DVD out for more training.

Great video. Illustrates how difficult it is to translate form into push hands with new students. How soon after the teaching of form do you introduce push hands practice? Your video also illustrates the necessity of combining the theory of tai chi (form) with the application. One without the other leaves a lot to be desired.

How do you define “internal power”? Are you referring to the spiritual, mental or qi-related aspects? Or are you thinking about anything sci-fi? Mechanics is the first step. Byron talked about interaction with trees during our class. However, how do you test if you have the “internal power”?, you need to use push hand mechanics to demonstrate and enhance your ability.

I think Byron is saying the same thing, he is saying there are common elements in different sports, I think he would agree with you on: "any style of fighting can work it just depends on how good of a teacher you have and how much you practice".

May I kindly ask when and where your next seminar will be...I really would love to go there just for the seminar and meet the Master and would love to learn from him. This by far is the best video..I have seen so many Tai chi masters and everyone does the same and carry a different level of chi. I just wanted to say, thank you for showing the video. I appreciate it. :)

Very good body mechanics explained. If people have an open mind, they will understand this demonstration.
I use the same body mechanics while practicing the form.
    See video.

if you go to this video: youtu.be slash DbOToSZd-oU (since no web link is allowed in youtube comments, you will need to add the slash symbol) at minute 8:58, Byron discussed this. However this video is in Chinese. Byron always talk about this in class. If there is interest, we can ask him to do one for a future video.

    虽然我是练陈氏的,但练到后来,外形都是其次的,太极内在的东西都是一样的。
    当年杨班候,少候还有杨澄浦都是当时武术界数的上的人物,更不用说杨露禅宗师啦。。。

You understand that there is debate between External Style and Internal Style (nejia and waijia), right? There are pros and cons of each. What is your specific argument and under what condition is yours better? Have you watched all of Master Byron's videos?
Watch Master Byron videos, he explained how Muhammad Ali actually used Tai Chi style to punch. And the real Tai Chi principles are applied to all best martial arts.

Other non-related questions: are we simply composition of carbon hydrogen oxygen? Yes, we are very simple. We need to begin with chemistry to describe ourselves. Then we use chemistry to describe biochemistry, then physiology, then psychology, mental etc.

I haven't seen it myself, but I bet it has to do with how Ali backs up and punches simultaneously. It tricks the opponent.
