The best of this video is seeing Chris Adler again in a Lamb of God video. Don't get me wrong, Art has been doing an AMAZING job but Chris Adler is the reason why I started to listen Lamb of God
The intro to " Remorse is for the dead " got me into LOG. Especially the slow groove at the beginning. Chris Adler has his own sound and style. He is precise with his chops yet he is one of the grooviest drummers of all time.
When I was 15 years old I began to learn guitar. This song was one of my final goal. Today I play this just for fun and I'm still loving it many years after ! Thank you for your music and your energy.
Randys vocals on this song, the lyrics and the whole band. Ugh top tier lamb of god era ! I love it all. But an album i could play in its entirety. Would definitely be A.O.T.W!
Yesss. Ashes of the wake is my favorite metal album of all time. God bless my older cousin who was a numetal head, chain wallet, goateee, lip ring, all that. He introduced me to so many dope bands and gave me a bc rich bass guitar when i said i wanted to learn. Unfortunately, he died due to "covid". Cant listen to this album and not this of cuz! Rest in peace!
😲😲 where did 20years go. I was 36 then fighting for Freedom Matters in America. 😲 Since this year, i loss all family only older sister Kathy 65 is left. Rest EASY family.
I lived off this record for years after discovering it. Brilliant band and album. Really appreciate the introspective lyrics instead of the typical metal content. Each song flows perfectly.
This is the album that got me into Lamb of God. I've never played drums, but Chris is definitely one of my favorite musicians. He makes it look so easy when I know it isn't.
What is stringing is that there is non need for metal musicians to run around wildly or shake their heads for their music to sound incredibly powerful. Amazing video that debunks some metal tropes.
0:03 That's my heart monitoring. Like others, I miss Chris Adler and though that once again yesterday while listening to the most recent stuff. He looked and sounded effortless, gave me exactly the same vibes as Vinnie Paul.
The albums Lamb of God did with Machine will always be my favorites. They just have this extra layer of... something... idk what, but they are just so good.
a truly iconic and trend-setting piece of music. with that opening riff, mark morton cemented himself as a riffmaster of the NWOAHM. like mustaine before him in thrash, he can do no wrong. every chug is gold.
caught the ashes of leviathan tour last night near the front on marks side. the joy shared between the band and amongst the crowd was palpable and everyone had a bangin ass time. the modern live lamb tones are crushing and real tasty as usual too. les paul badlander/mark iv combo sounds insane🥵 love to see this older footage long live ashes of the wake
They were so hungry, patriotic and powerful back then. The best of LOG really was from about 2003 until 2009. You can argue they put out some good music since but as a cohesive unit that took off where Pantera finished - that timeframe was their best
I came in with Wrath, and even though it is a masterpiece, Ashes has this grit to it. Baddest band in the land. Can’t wait for 8/17 in Kent. Would’ve really regretted it if I wouldn’t have made the move.

No he isn’t
me too thats exactly what i thought
for me too Chris Adler is the reason i got into LOG
Chris and that skyscraper high snare tuning 😂🔥
Me too brother
The intro to " Remorse is for the dead " got me into LOG. Especially the slow groove at the beginning.

The amount of times i've bumped this CD in high school is uncountable
same
Hell yeah brother 🤘
it was a great time to be young
High school?! Damn I'm old, I was 31 when this album bumrushed the scene😄😄😄
Ashes of the wake is legendary.
Chris is a monster
Top 3 drummer for sure
After so many years, the studio version has finally been released. \m/
This is the demo version that we all downloaded from Limewire in 2004-2005
Yeah yeah! Limewire. Damn this song has changed the history of every metal heads out there.
Man I miss Chris, hope he comes back someday. Mike Portnoy coming back to DT gave me hope it could happen, even if it's just a small chance.
La música me da vida
Me too man😢
Ashes of the Wake is, and always will be, god tier.
Cannot believe it's been 20 years.
1 of the greatest Metal songs period! 🔥🤘🏼🤘🏼
Chris will never be replaced
As much as I like the newer stuff, the old stuff from the Ashes of the Wake era definitely had more balls
They had something to prove now they are just coasting with their reputation
Defi-freaking-Nitely, there 2000s Albums were the Peak 💪🏻
palaces and ashes are just untouchable metal records, up there with 80s metallica
After sacrament it started slowly going downhill
@@spectre3492 i think after Wrath, wich is awesome too
Creativity of drum pattern and drum sound very unique👍👍
When I was 15 years old I began to learn guitar. This song was one of my final goal. Today I play this just for fun and I'm still loving it many years after !

Laid to rest is one of Lamb Of God's greatest songs and we'll hold up for decades to come🤘
Pure American Metal. 🤘
We miss Chris Adler. He was the reason l started listing LOG. Take love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Children... All of you. How did we all become distinguished older gentlemen. 🤘Still one of my favorite songs.
Adler is one of the biggest reasons why we know LOG. Good to see him.
That damn Chris Adler🖤🖤🖤
If you hear this song and don’t just want to scream these lyrics throughout the whole song, you’re not human. 🤘🏼
Still one of my fav metal songs after all these years. It’s just as fresh and modern sounding as when it was released. So dynamic and groovy.
Randys vocals on this song, the lyrics and the whole band. Ugh top tier lamb of god era ! I love it all. But an album i could play in its entirety. Would definitely be A.O.T.W!
That guitar riff is legendary
Chris adler is the reason i listen lamb of god ❤
One of the kick ass song in metal history
I love how this band has stayed true to its self. So many bands change so much once they get big
Don't let this song die 🤌
Chris eternal love, no one in the world like you.

Even after 20 years of listening to this song, I still get goosebumps. “See who gives a fuck” is such an iconic lyric.
this still hits different

Probably in the Top 20 quintessential metal tracks of all time
Probably my favorite Lamb of God song. The guitar riffs are sweet 🇺🇲

I was 14 when i first rocked this shit!!! Now im 33 and I have seen these guys 6 times Live since then!! 🤘
After reading Desolation, as a fan I appreciate all of these old school Lamb of God videos! All the hard work to bring fans incredible music!!!
Watching them perform one gun and break you on the new tour was something I will never forget. if you are a LOG fan this tour is a must.
Bring Machine back for the next album! Dude is in the ZONE!
This track became my mantra! Love the album.

Chris' drum groove, irreplaceable, still playing in my head his signature drum fill along with any lamb of god's new song
Seeing the show tonight with this album in its entirety!
My fav band ever!
An Absolute Classic
i dont know why. it's been 20 years. and i still put in this album again and again. i guess it will continue for the next 20. die hard LOG Fan
It has that LOG flavor all over it. What a song! 🤘

a truly iconic and trend-setting piece of music. with that opening riff, mark morton cemented himself as a riffmaster of the NWOAHM. like mustaine before him in thrash, he can do no wrong. every chug is gold.
This was the beginning of a new era for them and Gene Machine was a huge part of that.
not too shabby
caught the ashes of leviathan tour last night near the front on marks side. the joy shared between the band and amongst the crowd was palpable and everyone had a bangin ass time.
