    The family is delusional to think they have unlimited free child care at their whim.

    • @thebrandonboydshow
      @thebrandonboydshow  7 месяцев назад

      That was their working assumption. Sounds like they were wrong.

    Turnabout is fair play. Assuming that a person is going to be babysitting without consulting them ; reveals a lot about their idea of expected entitlement. This “Karen “ got a wake up call and frankly with family like these she would be better off without them.

      I’m assuming she won’t be asked to watch the kids again. And I don’t think she will mind that at all.

  • @91shawny
    @91shawny 7 месяцев назад +3

    Turnabout fair play. They had more than ample time to ASK her if she could watch the kids and purposely left her out with the assumption and honestly, if the aunt was planning that trip then she should’ve planned alternative backup for the kids.
    Also, the girl never agreed to watching the kids so why would you think to just come drop them off and not verify she’s available?

    Should she have let her family know, yeah probably. But she never said she was gonna do it, from their last conversation it sounded like she wasn’t anyway, and if the family never confirmed with her then it’s clearly their fault💀

    Brandon I don’t think you talked about the freedom unlimited offer! I mean that’s at the absolute minimum 3x for Hyatt when you transfer to a sapphire card! With uncapped potential that’s unreal

    • @thebrandonboydshow
      @thebrandonboydshow  7 месяцев назад

      No doubt it adds up quite a bit. It’s a great offer for those that plan high spend on the card. No doubt. I think others will find better offers will other cards in the chase lineup to accumulate large chunks of points. Depends on your goals and use case for the freedom unlimited. Definitely a lot potential if used correctly. And you know I love WoH points. Thanks for sharing.

    She should have told them she was going out of town when they asked, but good for her. It sounds like her family are not the greatest people

    Does the Chase Freedom Unlimited offer apply to product change as well? Or is it only for new applicants?

    • @91shawny
      @91shawny 7 месяцев назад +1

      Always new applicants, never via product change

    • @thebrandonboydshow

      New applications. Product changes do not yield new sign up offers unfortunately.

    If it has been 24 month, Can you re apply and get Chase Freedom again? Thanks Brandon. Awesome video.
    BTW, your past video about Thompson NYC convinced me to visit the hotel. It was super nice! Thank you.

      @thebrandonboydshow  7 месяцев назад

      Great question. 24 months after the bonus is paid. Example in this case with the freedom unlimited. You will receive the Chase match bonus at the end of the first year. Then you would need to wait 24 months from that point. In essence 3 years from the time you sign up for this offer. 24 months the from the date your bonus is received.

      @@sumnerjohnston8121 I product changed my FU to re-apply for the 5x on groceries. I waited four business days. I read online to wait three business days but I gave it an extra day. Got approved.

    She should have been bigger and let them know that she was unavailable. But I agree with her to take her own vacation.

    I feel like these stories are always missing a lot of nuance and context that's being left out of what was shared online.
    With that said, based off what I heard in the story, the lady who left on a vacation with her bf did nothing wrong and it was very inconsiderate of those family members to assume she would just watch the kids for them.

    The family is definitely wrong, but she made it worse by behaving the same way they did which made her mad. She should have spoke up in the beginning. But by being passive aggressive she made something bad worse.
