The two of you make great tour guides. I stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in 2012, flying my wife and daughter to Oahu non-stop from Phoenix as a 13th birthday present for our daughter. They loved the trip, the hotel and location. We took the sub ride, and watched the fireworks, and rented DVD's when we were ready to rest in the evening. The sub ride was amazing, a "bucket list" type of thing to do. We also went to Pearl Harbor and toured the Missouri, went to the Arizona memorial and ended our trip visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center on a bus tour that picked us up at the hotel. We loved Hawaiian Airlines, because they use wide-body aircraft for their non-stop flights from Phoenix to Honolulu. When I was still hungry after dinner they gave me a second one, since our meal was just a sandwich. The pools at the hotel were our only complaint, much too cold so we chose the nearby ocean for swimming.
I recently stayed here my first time in Hawaii and the stay was Amazing and all the shops are really close so we didn’t have to leave the resort I will stay again next time I visit
Oooohhh, the waters out there ❤ It`s really amazing to see the wildlife below. I can just close my eyes and be back in Uahu & Maui and that was bloody 30 years ago. Time flies..... Thanks guys for your fun videos!
Stayed at this resort back in July with my family. We were in the Tapa Tower. I’ve stayed at this resort on a number of occasions and it never disappoints! Missing it so much❤🤙🌺!
Wow, that resort is gigantic. I haven't had the pleasure of getting there yet, but i definately want to. It looks like i could just check in and then i would have probably everything i could want to do and more just right there which would make it really handy. It is truly paradise
@@Izzywizzy976 really nice!! We stayed in the Tapa Tower. It was clean, comfortable, and convenient. The pool with the slide was fun for my kids! They had plenty of stores on the property, but it was also close enough for us to walk to other places if we wanted. We mainly liked to explore the island, but when we were at the resort, we were always able to find something fun to do!
Rainbow, Diamond Head and Ali'i towers are hotel based. There is a private pool in the Ali'i Tower and also another private pool at HGVC Grand Islander. If you rent a car from enterprise/national on the resort, you can park the car in the Grand Waikikian parking garage the night of the return for free. Great resort, we go every year with our family.
Gotta love it when tourist complain that something is touristy. You don’t have to be full-time hipsters and above it all. When I travel, of course we like to go to the more off the beat places and enjoy the local vibes, but it’s also pretty fun to go and see the things that are the reason why people go there in the first place.
Just got back to England after 11 nights at hawaiin village resort....it was paradise....we got married on Easter Sunday at the front of the rainbow tower ...just the two of us and a ukulele player but noticed there was a few people taking photos and videoing .....a long shot but is there anyone out there got any footage. Thanks x❤
For retired military, the Hale Koa is right next door to the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Great BX for souvenirs, essentials and alcohol. I stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village 2-3 times/month and really never explore this resort. I guess I need to walk around more.
@@TheAwkwardTourists I dont remember much from the first visit except Pearl Harbor, punchbowl crater, and the bubbles floating past our balcony in Hilton Hawaiian Village when don ho was performing downstairs lol
hi i had a question for you guys, u mentioned about the rental vehicles, what did u mean exactly is it best to rent a car from the airport? or not because then u have to pay for parking? but if u rent from outside the airport u dont have to pay for parking? thanks for all the advice planning on staying at this same hotel.
@@Jackyy209 It was great! They had Friday night fireworks on the beach that were fun and then some nights they had luau shows - you had to pay to get in to them and eat at the buffet but you could just walk by and watch on the outside for free like we did 😊
I think Hawaii, but Miami has some beautiful beaches too, I think the water in Hawaii is more clear. Each are really unique, so it is hard to say which is better. Hawaii really does the island vibe well, but the nightlife in Miami is really entertaining
I'm curious if I stayed at a hotel nearby, what things at the resort would be available to me? I would think things like the shops and places to eat would be open to the public but maybe the pools would not? Anything else? Thanks :)
From my knowledge You can access the resort restaurants and shops if you are not staying there. The beach and the lagoon are open to the public too. I think the only thing you wouldn't be able to do is go to the pools
Great video. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem with me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much, Steve S.
Hi guys, loved your video! As we are planning our trip there can you please let me know if the main beach ( not a laguna) is good for swimming / snorkling meaning not big waves or too strong dangerous currents?
Having a hard time deciding on this hotel or the Moana surfrider…. Have it all set up online and the Moana is about $10k more… wondering if it’s worth it or just stay here instead
Thank you for your video! Three questions: 1) There are microwaves in the room, right? 2) Do you still need to pay for beach chair rentals at the lagoon? 3) Do they serve alcohol/waited staff at the Lagoon?
I’ve stayed here and 1) Atleast the hotel room I stayed in there wasn’t any microwaves 2) You still need to pay for the beach chair rentals 3) Not sure
Hello, looking at booking at this resort. What is the best and easiest way to travel to this hotel from the airport with a toddler, without having a car seat?
family favoritte restaurant got married their also my brother and sister father and mom retiremnt party thre made many partie there also attend man party also work there.
Why? I was going to book it for next month as weve been there 5 times before but its been a few years since our last visit. I was thinking it I should book this hotel once again or try a diff hotel. Can you tell me why you feel its the worse? It would help me alot.🩵
@@candy.yankovska The ratio of guests to accommodate in the restaurants is way off. We couldn't find a seat at a bar or a restaurant. The adult pool offers NO amenities... no bar, uncomfortable chairs, and no shade when the sun is blaring.
@@candy.yankovska I used Resort Pass and booked a day pass at the Marriott Resort & Spa because their pool has more amenities. I was able to get a comfortable lounger, towels, an umbrella when the sun was strong, friendly service for drinks and food, and there was chill vibe music. At the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki you can also watch fireworks every Friday night brought to you by the Resort.🎆🤙🏽🌴🌺

I agree, The pools were a little chilly. But the ocean temperature was perfect!

Is mid November a good time to go weather wise? Is the beach still fine to swim in and can we expect more sun or rain?
Any month is good time to go to Hawaii, but it does rain a lot all year round as it's so tropical
is there a water refill machine at the resort?
Yes there is
Also, is the beach nice for swimming or do we need to search for another beach area?
It's good for swimming

Awesome! Have a great time!

Depends on the conditions, Sometimes Waikiki Is super flat and calm, other times it gets decent waves, so relly just weather dependent

You can snorkel right off the beach, or you can take public transportation to Hanauma bay

Hi, leaving this week to stay at this resort. Is it really warm there this time of year?
Hi! It's usually warm so year round, but I would suggest doing a quick Google search to determine what the average temp is during this time of year
Is it an all inclusive resort?
How easy is it to get to the beach?
Very easy. The resort is right by the beach, so from the tower we stayed at (rainbow tower) you can access the beach about 100 feet from the elevator

the ali'i tower has a pool and only guest staying there can use pool.
