300g (3 cups) penne pasta
1 tsp salt
4 eggs
200g (7 oz.) Fontina Cheese
Season with Salt and Black Pepper
1/2 tsp oregano
2 tbsp butter

Our Mother's mac and cheese. boil macaroni in the normal way. Make egg custard, 2 or 3 eggs, cup milk, mix, season, add grated cheese to egg custard, drain macaroni, place in flat oven dish, pour egg custard over, optional;; add slices of tomato, pieces of bacon, or viennas, or sausage or mini meatballs; some green herbs, sprinkle more cheese on top. bake in oven until egg cooked and golden on top. yummy winter food.

As a momma of three grown boys, it’s so welcoming to hear the little ones giggle & play in the background. Oh how I miss that so much. I always loved to cook for them while little toddlers, on into young teens then into young adults too grown men.
