The Phantom Menace sucked, but John Williams and Darth Maul were what made the movie worth watching. Seeing this put a smile on my face. May the force be with you, young Jedi.
DRourk Count Dukku had a weaker presence in the films. His role was only established more in the cartoon, while Maul actually left an impression and looked intimidating. Maul never ran away and faced his foes. Dukku always ran away like a coward.
Neon Wave Count Dooku didn't appear in The Phantom Menace, and Maul looked comically stupid to me, hardly intimidating. All in all, other than the Emperor (and later Anakin the bad guys in the prequel were shallow and weak, and one of the worst aspects of the prequels. Anakin himself kinda sucked as a bad guy as he was mostly portrayed just a temper tantrumed adolescent.

There were so many moments where the music could have been awe inspiring like Duel of the Fates or 'Battle of Heroes' from Revenge of the Sith; particularly when Anakin and Obi-Wan lock arms with the lava exploding in the background, but unfortunately it never really happened.
+God Damn it Fubbles! An epic choral piece wouldn't really have fit with the movie, though. They were going more for an OT feel, which used choral music very sparingly.
Just imagine in episode 8 Finn and Rey start approaching Ren's chambers, only to hear a familiar voice say: "Traitor..." The camera pans to Reveal Nines, Kylo has trained him and he's now one of the Knights of Ren, he whips out a guard shoto Saber and then this theme starts playing over an epic battle involving the three in a Saber fight, and to end it all off Finn chops Nines in half as a callback to phantom menace.
Actually what made Nines uber badass was the fact that he was just a regular stormtrooper with a stun baton and kickass melee skills... also Nines > Finn

Not only in the prequels, but even video games like Jedi academy or the MMO The Old Republic had the same acrobatic styles and various lightsaber fighting styles as well. Kinda. I loved the music when we first see Rey though.
The only music from it worth listening to was "Snoke" and to some extent "Torn Apart". It lacked a really epic song.
