Carnation instant breakfast drinks were a staple of my teenage years in the 80's and are still around till this day.

So many of these I can relate to! I never really knew what Fluffernutters were until a friend talked about having one! We never had marshmallow fluff around the house! I've actually made German pancakes before as a dessert dish - putting apple pie filling, coconut and golden raisins on it and serving it with vanilla ice cream! A house guest that was from Philadelphia made a big deal about having scrapple and as soon as I could smell the liver in it I took a hard pass! The illustrations for Johnny cakes part looks like the same artist that did the 1949 Fireside Cookbook! Aunt Jemima Pancake mixes were advertising sausage in batter since the 1950s! And lastly for me we only got to try a couple of flavors of Koogle since my mom didn't really like it! But in more recent years, since the beginning of Google I've always had that stuff in mind! Haha!

Along with Carnation Instant Breakfast drink powder were Carnation Breakfast Bars! I don't think they debuted with the drink powder in the 1960's, but they were definitely around in the 70's and 80's. If anyone who reads this comment and has had the pleasure of enjoying one of these bars, you know what I am talking about. The taste and consistency of these bars was quite unique and I don't understand why they don't make them anymore. As for the instant breakfast drink, that stuff is still around.

Scrapple is good. and they still eat it in Cincinnati a lot. Journey Cakes are great, I still make them all the time. I just put butter on them. I don’t like peanut butter but if you like oats, try and find Oathaus Granola butter. That stuff is delicious

Half and half was way too expensive for kids to pour on cereal! Was used in baking or a teaspoon or two added to coffee, families could not afford to put on cereal.
