Those frames are incredible, I also really love the limited print run prints, its a super cool way to not get in the habit of selling the same art for years.
I’ve never heard of these types of frames but this is really amazing! For someone that collects a lot of art, I tend to run out of wall space. I like that I would be able to change what I have up without damaging what I bought. Also I think the method of selling your work and including a special piece once in a while is really cool as well.
This is a real awesome idea. I already got one of your drawings through winning one of Carahs competitions. I have it displayed in my room right above my desk. I'll definitely be looking to get some more because I really enjoy your style.
Watched the entire video, love your passion for what you do. Had a look on your new website but there is only three prints available. Make some more dude!
i generally have favorite artists and certain characters that i look for/ and as always the lower the print the better...11x17 is generally the most common size so i enjoy print that are off sizes. My collection is not large but its fricken rare and cool... my latest print was the siya oum 11x17 spider gwen there are 100 of them and it took me forever to find
I've run into the same issues as far as prints and how to store/display. That's why I limit my own collection to sketch cards/trading card sized work. It's funny you kept mentioning trading cards, why not go that route? Have you ever tried drawing sketch cards? Or completely separate, considered doing trading card sized prints making up a trading card set out of your work? That's what I do with mine, pretty affordable to print up and they look nice.
+Brad Utterstrom The only reason i don't like the cards is because of the option to display the art for all to see. I want to be able look up and see the artwork on my wall and be inspired by it. However I would definitely think about doing the art trading card thing as a complimentary option to go along with the larger prints.
+SketchyTrav I look through my collection fairly often, and have a few of my originals in dollar tree frames around the house that come that size. There's also a display I bought at Michaels that's like a big frame that holds 20 cards. I actually do my business cards at trading card sized, and it's like a set with different art on the front and business info on the back. I could show you the company I use if you're interested.
+Arthur Bonner The 9x12 frame is awesome for my print size but they offer other sizes that you could easily cut custom mats for. if you buy one remember to use the code "SketchyTrav" and save 15%. I'm not getting any money for this at all from Dynamic Frames I just feel the product is so great for artists and I wanted to share it.
Cool idea... like artist trading cards but bigger. What size are the prints? I like to draw as well. Perhaps this could be a new thing. Could be cool if there was a standard size so others artists could join in. Ive been asked to sell my sketches before... but being attached to them i never have. Plus it's hard to sell artwork and not ask more then people are comfortable with.
+JacksaurusRex I'm making my standard size 9x12, its the size of my sketchbook so if people end up getting an original it works in the 9x12 frame as well. I feel its the perfect size, big enough to look good on a wall but small enough so it does not cost a fortune and is easy to story in a nice coffee table book sized portfolio.
+SketchyTrav cool, yeah think your right about the size. I draw on the same paper.. sadly it's kinda annoying to get frames made for inches. Since i live in Europe Plus i have a scanner that's for a4 size only. Strathmore toned paper is a little bigger then a4. I'll look out for a local company that scans and prints.... perhaps invest in a bigass a3 scanner. But well, improving but still not near your level so there's no rush really. Love the video's and all
Great video bro can't wait for the contest.. You've got great ideas man with the prints an everything I appreciate how u want to make each print special!! Anyways u inspire me so much to keep drawings just wanted to say thanks :) "lilpedroart"
did you ever have an artist block if you how do you overcome it? I always have difficult times every time f I draw. they end up not what I don't want it to be and they're bad.
+Devon Paxton yeah, I have drawings all the time turn out bad. generally this happens due to lack of direction and inspiration when i start. This is a common struggle with all artists I'm afraid.
