This stands as probably the best movie in decades that centers around changing a person's heart. Angelina Jolie turns in a very believable performance. You FEEL the changing emotions of Maleficent as the story progresses.
She was only watching out for her. Didn’t want her stuck in a relationship by a guy she doesn’t know. Well she is like her mother know she knows it.

Aurora knows Maleficent is speaking from experience, but like all daughters, they want their mothers to trust them with their own guts and intuition when it comes to their choice in partners.
And while Aurora was right about Phillip, Maleficent was right about Ingrith, who was loved genuinely by John. She didn't love him as he deserved, and both paid the price for it. John got betrayed by Ingrith, so he turned his back on her to show he can't forgive her.
Not unlike Maleficent and Stefan...and Leila.
That's my favorite angle of Maleficient/Angelina. How beautiful and majestic is the way she looks at Aurora in this scene. I'm bisexual and she drives me crazy with this serious look. If I'd be Aurora, I would be like: oh, don't look at me like that, you're killing me. 😂 I think there's no bisexual girl on Earth who doesn't have a crush on Malificient.

Maleficent on together with Thistlewit, Flittle, and Knotgrass and still can't get along with them that she has to be roughly hard on them by flap hard and use magic on them. That I'm slightly glad to see something roughly harmful comes upon her. Maybe it would be better if not all three of them (Thistlewit, Flittle, and Knotgrass) were together living in the same place, and if the two older ones (Flittle, and Knotgrass) would leave the moors. Leaving the youngest (Thistlewit) on moors alone.

Had she gone in that outfit without the head piece she might’ve seemed less threatening
The headpiece is actually apart of her head, later in the film she’s shown having her hair cascading down and around her head. It wasn’t about physical appearances, the royal family didn’t want Maleficent there anyways, they only asked her there to save face in front of Aurora.
