That’s actually super sick, wish it could run steel.

its really overpricend, the deskmaster dm500 has 1,8 kw spindle and has a offline controller for ≈5k or the makerdream evo one cnc has linear guides instead of rods and ballscrews etc and is only 4.6k

Thanks for the info. Good to hear other perspectives as I don’t personally own a Bantam.

Could you make a putter head with that or is steel too hard? Maybe divot tools?

Probably just aluminum. Don’t know if it will cut steel, they don’t market it for steel but could do any softer materials.

any mill can do steel but it all depend on the tools path that you use

I'm going to email them and ask about heat treated aluminum.
    And Linux support coming 💕🥰

The Linux controller is dope. Definitely going to be a super cool addition.

I'm totally new to the CNC world. Looking to get one of these small desktop machines to make aluminum molds for my plastic injection machine. I'd rather over pay $1,000 if I can get super good customer service. Seems like they do have good precision at .001".
Not really looking for a heavy duty fast machine. Just something that is easy to use and does the job.
Anybody have more experience with these machines and specifically if anybody has used these to mill molds for plastic injection applications?
    Thanks everybody!

Langmuir is the go to now. These are less machine for more money.

I’m actually going to get a Nomad 3. The Languire MK3 is just too big for me, but does seem like a great machine.

Not good machines. Had a few, sold them quickly after. Extremely low powered.
