Great video! I love these DIY craft supplies! I have a little tip for you... I use Liquitex Pouring Medium in place of Glossy Accents to create a shiny raised surface. I don't know if it has the same glue properties as Glossy Accents but works great for the clear raised effects. I mostly use it on top of die cuts and sentiments and as clear drops (or dew drops) on cards. It's self-leveling, dries clear, and is easy to apply with a small needle tip plastic bottle with no problems flowing easily. But you may already know all of this.😊 Thank you for this video - I'm adding it to my archive of alternative craft supplies! You're the best! Janet 🤗👍💕

@@craftingforalmosteveryone I cannot take credit - I'm sure I've read about it or seen it somewhere out there. LOL! I've been using the same bottle for at least 3 years, so it lasts awhile. Hope you like it!

I thought I'd try as many as possible and if some failed (Stickles) then it was OK....I think some of them would work well to replace the look of Wink of Stella...

Sandy wishing you well. This video is full of wonderful alternatives. Definitely will do some experimenting. Hopefully that fly was taken care of. I wanted to reach thru the monitor to swat it for you. I know how annoying that must be. LOL. Thanks as always. I finally retired..yes!!

We live about 1/10th mile from our county fairgrounds and when the fair is done (end of August), we end up with a TON of crazy flies and it drives me nuts. I try so hard to kill them and still, they seem to multiply...for every one we kill, 10 show up afterwards, and it makes me want to scream.....Sorry you had to deal with our fly situation too....Sandy

Great additional information about Wink of Stella pens. I have only ever had the clear pens and have had no thought of getting the color ones at all before. It would be easier if I didn’t have to do two steps by putting WofS over my markers. You are so amazing to think of these things. I sometimes feel like I have a cloud in my brain stifling my thought process….oh right I DO! Ha ha ha! Great video, Sandy! You’re the best!

I need to pick some up!! What color is the glitter iridescent silver or gold. The Wink of Stella Pens (clear) are expensive I think. Unless, you can find a sale. I read that some people use the pouring medium as a replacement for glossy accents. Do you? If so does it work?

Thank you for this Sandy. I have been using the liquitex shimmer for a few years since you told me about it i no longer buy the wink of Stella for it doesn't last long runs out fast.so yay that bottle of liquitex will last me a life time.

Wink of Stella markers are popular in the US to get a shimmery look on cards and I love it, but don't want others to have to pay for the markers if you can avoid it. I didn't know if any of my ideas would work, but in the end, some of them did, and hopefully, people have those products. I really recommend the Liquitex, as it has amazing shimmer to it.

Hope you find lots of ideas for your new Wink of Stellas. The Liquitex is my favorite and although it's not cheap to buy, it lasts literally forever. You could make hundreds of Wink of Stella pens, spray bottles etc and never run out of it. At least I still have a ton of mine left...and it's SO glittery. Sandy

FYI liquitex has a white Sheen to it it does not dry clear. It would work with color or if you want a white sheen.
