Excellent video! We tested the Desert Gold 3 in Romania for more than 2 months now, in various detecting scenarios and terrains. We are absolutely amazed about its capabilities. It is much better than the EDS Plus II (the model it replaced) in all ways: depth, stability, work in mineralization, discrimination (it also does not loose depth when discrimination is applied!), comfort, recovery speed - everything. Detech made another masterpiece with the new Desert Gold 3. For big targets it is quite equal to the mighty Relic Striker while, for small to medium sized targets, it is by far the best VLF machine I've ever worked with and, oh, there's so so so many! Hi, when doing ground balance: 1. Set the switch to manual 2. Set to all metal. 3. Set the Sens in the red and the tresh turn clockwise, till you hear a faint hum. 4. Press the ground balance button 5. After you hear the peep signal start turning the potentiometer. You need to turn it in a clockwise direction. Do it slowly,till you don't hear a signal or you hear a signal when closer and further the coil to ground- in both directions. 5. Swith to disc. You are ready to go :)
You can be absolutely sure that it will go deaper than 95% VLF detectors out there. Tests will be made in Spring, the weather is no good at the moment.

This device requires a lower frequency and a larger coil for greater depth.
