Cheryl Yates, Very Important Musician Series.

Building on our “Very Important Musician” series, we had the privilege of interviewing guitarist-songwriter Cheryl Yates. We get to hear some of her backstory and testimony, as well as some intimate live performances by herself and Brandon Allen.
Cheryl Yates holds a Specialist Certificate in Music Theory from Berklee College of Music. She has done work with the likes of Randy Coryell, Mike Atkins, Mark Evitts, and more. Yates is a successful solo artist, arranger, and performer.
Cheryl tells the story of her dad's vintage 1962 Gretsch Nashville 6120 that she still plays today. She also plays us an original on our Martin 000-28.
