Nasty and awesome performance from that Voyager right there. And serrations are pretty slept on imo. I never liked them due to the difficulty of sharpening but now I know they last much more than a regular edge and rip through stuff like crazy, so it doesn't hurt to add a serrated blade to your collection.
Understood... I shall now give Cold Steel more of my money. (Update; yeah, serrations are pretty darn good) I don't know why i slept on them for so long.)
@@MrRottman43055 Both my Tanto & Vaquero are serrated. I was initially turned off by that, until I saw the Cold Steel Serration specific Lansky sharpening rod. Now, I have two of the Lansky sharpeners, & have no reservations about buying Cold Steel Serrated knives. I have also ordered Snaggletooth aluminum wave add-ons, & have really upgraded my blade carry system over my Counter-Tac II (which I also still carry).
It is crazy how much it little you can make something stab. I’ve been working on the stabbiest dagger I can make and the results are nuts. Same goes for really thin edges.
Great demo, sir. ( I still love the Rajah 2) I would REALLY love to see the Hold Out 1 reviewed with this same test. The Hold Out is the stabbiest blade of cold steel ( followed by the Talwar, maybe 🤔)
When you stab someone it’s personal. A lot different then shooting someone. When you feel the heat from the other person bump up against the index and thumb portion of your hand and then pull away and bump them again. It’s a experience you’ll never forget.
Very informative video. I have the Voyager Vaquero and the Rajah 2. Do you think the Rajah 2 is still good for self defense? It seems like a good chopper slicer, but in terms of penetration could you give your opinion? Thank you!
Stabbing, no real difference. Slicing would just be the typical differences between strait & serrated like any other. The curve allows either to slash well & both styles have a very fine point.
Hi man, I have a question about this one if you don't mind. I have a Large Vaquero and there is a spot near the tip that bangs on the inside of the backspacer every time you close the knife. This leads to premature dullig of that spot, especially because of the high glass content of that material used for scales and everything. You can tell because you can see the dent appearing overtime into the backspacer. Does the XL model do that as well? I always wondered if it was just mine or all the Vaqueros, or maybe all of the Voyager line?
This is the best demonstration video of its type. Thank you.
Why did I think he was going to stab the gun safe? 😂 "I want to show you the penetration power of this voyager..." Oh, I'm down; let's see it! 😂

Serrations areften poorly executed these are an exception
I ordered it because it's Lynn Thomson's EDC and I'm not going anywhere without it. Even has one under the pillow 😅
Aggressive clip point vs a kukri style blade, they both do what they're designed for.
hahah this video shows in 30sec more than other 15 min 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I bought the tanto version.
Saw this video, & immediately ordered the serrated Vaquero.
It's a great stabber & slasher

What size snaggletooth is for voyager xl tanto? I just got mine and didn't know that was a thing till i read this comment so thanks about to buy one
Would you say the Tonto serrated and the vicero serrated have the same stabbing ease would you choose one over the other? Thank you@@wsaenotsock9486
@@wsaenotsock9486yrs, pls tell us more about snaggletooth for xl voyager !
Ouch! Great demo. Just picked one of these up for self defense. Also grabbed the Voyager Large Clip point for bushcraft.
Sold to the man in a corner in 5 seconds 😂

How reviews should be made 🔥💪

Also.Luzon - large
I thought he was gonna stab the vault and rob it my expectations are now ruined lol
Lynn Thompson is my hero
Flat ground blade. Check out the 6" Hold out. Nasty.
Probably that's one of the reasons why the Vaquero is Lynn's fave ...(as the Big Man stated himself ...)

Just got my Vaquero serrated edge today 👍. Its so freaking awesome!🔪
My Xl Voyager clip point penetrates well too
nice demonstration!
like butterrr
Great video-I have that bad boy !
Good to know the penetration power in comparison. Thank you
Which bad boy?
Great video!
Awesome video and practical!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you
Excellent content
Do this with the voyager serrated tanto please
That’s one sharp knife buddy
Excellent video
Why does it seem like the Rajah is hitting something hard like wood behind the cloth? You can hear the sound.
I am disappointed that the Rajah 2 did not even penetrate 1 layer. Is it really that bad? Can you please comment?
It's a thick blade that isn't real pointy. The good side is it is a powerful chop & slasher .
how does the Espada compare
Pretty good also at stabbing

Sure. A hit to the side of the neck wound be devastating, or an arm or whatever.
Wow , I'm glad I got one of those 💰🎱😎
Me too. Best of the best knife.
What do you think pros and cons between this and serrated tanto XL thank you

It should not do that.

Is it the steel?
what about voyager tanto ?
what about clip point ? which one has better penetration power ? thank you !
I would imagine it would do well as most clip points I have tested have done well.
Wait back up the ponies! Say whaaaaaat? Wow!
Dude I just order a serrated tiger claw
😂😂😂😂
Trick photography. I have both of those knives and they both perform outstanding. This is a bunch about nothing
