Yo MD, I've recently set up a new tank and opted for the LED floodlight you use on the majority of your tanks. My only concern is, they do get a bit warm. I have a lid on my tank and I've not attached the light to the underneath as I'm a bit worried it'll get to hot and maybe damage the glass. I'm just looking for your opinion, have you used any of the LED lights under any covers?

MD you should do a wild betta or wild gourami tank! Something a little different but there’s so many cool types Also you should look into rummynose rasbora think you’d really like them

The betta is loving that big open pod on the left!! Perfect choice to include that item in the botanicals! Wish I lived in UK and had Maidenhead Aquatics nearby! Can’t wait to see this tank progress a bit with little darker water and see the dwarf hair grass growth. Great build MD!
I waited 5 days for a video to finish aquascaping in Matt's Big Tank but this video was uploaded. Don't get me wrong, this video is also amazing...but I was actually looking forward for that particular video.
I’ve seen a good few of your videos now, what I like most is your consistency. Every set-up has the same good foundation and then you modify from there. I’ve never kept fish before but this makes me think I can have a go as long as I make sure the basics are all in place and I keep on top of water testing.
The way you and Matt bounce off each other is pure quality, only complaint I have is I now have an addiction to aquascaping since discovering your channel and now am looking at getting a 2nd tank

8:21 the broken off branch at the back of the wood just looks like an eagle to me, almost like it was carved out to look just like one :) Great looking tank!
I wish channels like this were around back when I was serious about keeping fish. A friend got me into the hobby but watching your videos showed me just how little he really knew. Now I live so far away from an actual fish/aquarium store it would take me 4 hours round trip to get to the nearest store. Not sure I could do it successfully by mail/online now though.

It’s great to see Hellboy! I have a betta that lived alone for over a year, and when I put him in a slightly larger tank, I gave him half a dozen neon tetras to live with and it’s gone swimmingly

Ah man so glad you did a betta setup. You’ve made me want to rip mine apart and start again. Can’t wait for updates on this tank. I’ve got a 60L. with hood and light and am so tempted to rip that hood of and put on some overhead lights they look amazing.
You should try out keeping wild type bettas, theyre so beautiful. There are also other species of bettas, i personally keep betta imbellis, and plan to keep alien bettas soon.
This is lovely, quite similar to my set up for my female koi betta. Re male bettas and other fish - any crowntail or similar is safe to house with other species. They can't swim fast enough to threaten anything! I'm more careful with Plakat, those guys can move!

I was looking for those bio media mesh bags and they costs quite a lot when u buy lots, after searching alternatives, i found that you just use “laundry nets” and they costs way cheaper, just a tip. I live in indonesia tho idk about other countries.
MD I have a quick question. How do you remove the glued down plants from the logs/pebbles when you have decided to change a tank. Love your videos, keep up the great content.
Superglue usually "snaps" off. Usually with a bit of gentle pulling and prying with my fingernails I can clean everything up. Anything that stays stuck I scrape off with a spoon
Love this blackwater betta tank. Hellboy will use that pacman pod as a house. I need to find some of those for my betta tanks. Also I was wondering if you still had any goldfish yet? I haven't seen Ember in forever.🥰🐠
