Just found your channel. Just got my first noc position after years of hekp desk and nervous. Looking to advance into cyber i was fortunate to get this noc position as i do not have an certs so going to watching a vourse on network plus then watch one of the ccna and take the cert for ccna
Currently taking a 16 week Cyber Security Training Program offered through the community college that I attend which once completed I will be taking the CompTIA Security+ Exam. Then I will be eligible for over 400 Cyber Security positions within the state that reside in. Did you take any certifications to get into the field of Cyber Security?
@@pushtoprod All is going Well. It's a lot of information to gain, but I know that Man Above will bring me through. Just Trusting the Process. I appreciate your response, and I enjoy watching your videos sir
Knowledge drop a.i is looking at tour resume if it doesnt see a degree or no certs now a days it wont get in front of someone that would take the experience into account
Definitely enjoyed this video I wanted to ask please how did to land your network analyst role was it through a bootcamp or self learning? And also in between transitioning to cybersecurity what skills did you gain/learn?im asking for a lot😂
Transitioning from network I would say I gained a better understanding of network traffic which has been very helpful when trying to respond to certain incidents.
Did you get your help desk position through indeed and also is do you think it’s best to learn network as much as possible first before transitioning into cybersecurity so it makes it easier to understand cyber? Thank you so much for the previous answers too
I only have an associates that alone is enough to get your foot in the door sometimes. Just got a noc position after years of being stuck in help desk (I know noc analyst use some of those skills).

Former military here, trying to see if I should break into cybersecurity
Most definitely! Especially if you have secret clearances. Those help make you more marketable once you're trained and up to speed.

I unfortunately did not, but was lucky enough to land a job back when the industry was much less competitive.
How is the cert training program?

I haven’t come across any
Just look one for remote workers what does color matter? I've found i.t to be knowledge driven not racial at all

I was mostly self taught. I learned a lot in the help desk by doing more advance troubleshooting.

No I do t think I used indeed. Though a good understanding of networks is good to have, I wouldn’t say it’s a true requirement to get into cyber
Makes sense I really appreciate it bro God bless!
Bro do you do 1 on 1 calls by chance ?
What ask manager are you using?
MS Planner
Did you get your network + ? I’m working on that now
Nah I didn’t. How’s that going?
It’s going I need to stay consistent with it . I watched your old video so many times being a network analyst . I was trying to get into that
This makes me wanna throw my degree out the window
No way 😂😂 the other 2 members of P2P have their degrees and would likely vouch for them
Relax degree is super useful plus u can show it off

You better not! You can use your degree to get into CIO positions or IT manager. It’s not worthless at all and you earned it!
