The Blanka-chan doll makes this character so much better. People should try him more.

You can easily get to masters without using this shit once
You can also do an instant cross up by cancelling a normal into hop so that blanka chan hits them as soon as you switch sides.
That works? thats amazing, his corner pressure with blanka doll is gonna be nuts.
It whiffs if it's just any normal.
Cancel the stand heavy punch into the hop, also it has to be the medium version of Blanka Chan. The heavy version stays in front and the light version doesn't cross up

Cool setups and Combos I need to put into practise! One other, risky way you can safely set up a blanka chan is after landing an OD Wild Hunt, so that's another way to get the doll out and one that works on block if you can catch them with it!

There's also a ledt right mix-up from cancelling the heavy punch into hop on the medium version of blanka chan. The heavy version stays in front an fthe light doesn't cross up
By that, do you mean the button you set up blanka chan with, or the version of lightning you hit with?

I have been playing him since day 1, he is definitely being slept on. He has good damage, good mixup options for high low, blanka ball is relatively safe and has good pressure with setups like shown! cant wait to lab this
He also has really good pokes and very few people I've come across while playing him have much in the way of matchup knowledge of him. I expect that will change in time but unless he sees a massive spike in popularity I still expect most people to not know the matchup very well.

"Easy" setup, bro, learning Blanka is not easy at all for me lol. Just a 5 hit combo requires multiple holds for the Blanka Balls, an SA2 install, and Blanka Doll setup. Working on SA2 -> Vertical Rolling Attack -> DI back down for Blanka Doll which is almost safe -> EXed thunder -> 2-3 hits from Ball in air, this combo only does like 33% and is so hard for me to execute, but who knows maybe I'll get better.

Great video. I could always see the potential with the dolls but hadnt worked iut any good set ups so far. This should help greatly.

After some labbing I noticed that the combo at 2:00 doesn't work for what ever reason on Kimberly and Ryu. Doing [4]6HP -> walk forward 63214KK instead will net you a nice 3000 damage and allows you to loop back into doll pressure. Alternatively you could go for EX up ball if the damage will kill. Great vid regardless!
The highest level Blankas I see only use the doll as a way to walk forward really. Almost never seen them actually use it for combos or mix ups

At 1:45 how do you get the 4th hit in?? No idea without inputs on screen, I'm doing right right up but then in the vid blanka flies to the left and back again, however I can only get him to fly off to the left and not back for the 4th hit

Random question, how do you perform the blanka suprise step? it says forward or backward direction plus 3 whites (modern controls)...I honestly don't get it?
I have one of the shoulder buttons (RT) set for 3 kicks. That was I can just hit forward and RT for the hop.

Damage looked borderline broken until I realised all combos were done on Cammy.
Pretty sure Cammy doesn't have reduced health in this game and everyone has the same health except Honda, Marisa and gief who have slightly more than the rest.
Cammy has average health
At the wall with the last setup you can reach 6550 Damage with some changes!
