I’m glad the forests are so dark in KCD. They are irl, trees really block the light out and lots of games just aren’t dense enough and don’t try to do the shadows either
In KCD 1, I loved when it was a sunny clear day and it starts to turn into evening. The suns going down and it gives a perfect lighting and real feeling of an end to a lovely day.
Yeah I relate to this, I think it was a mod I had where you could set up a camp. So you could sleep through the night, really added to the immersion.
These devs understand what makes a world feel immersive. You got so many things coming together here that it sucks you in. Some games might have more detailed models, RT and whatever yet they still fall short.
The foliage and ground are dense and unique enough that it makes things seem more grown/lived than placed.
I love the forests. The soundscape of rain and thunder is perfect. I can hear the drops falling from the leaves.
Wow. It sounds amazing. You can tell Roxy I wearing armor too. The clanks of rain drops hitting his metal armor are so immersing. I hope I take the time to enjoy things like this when I play. I get so distracted by the side activities and missions that I don't always take the time to really feel the environment and live in it. Thank you, Roxy.

I want to watch the video but I also want to come to the game with the least amount of expectations and be blown away when I finally play, I can't wait

Roxy, you should seriously do a whole subset of KCD2 ambient atmospheres and music videos. I would have that on in the background all the time and I bet they would get tons for views from people just studying or relaxing.

Roxy! If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have discovered KCD and have the opportunity to immerse myself in a world like no other. Your videos made me want to buy the game and try it out for myself, and that 'first' playthrough was an experience I'll forever remember. Three years later it's one of my favorite games, and I can't wait to experience KCD 2 and the wonders it has to offer! Thank you for introducing me to someone who's always feeling quite hungry!

@@daddyleon Even on the release of KCD 1 - I never had to wait longer than 1 day for a bug to be fixed. It really didn't affect gameplay - I'd go do a different mission, and by the time I revisited the buggy one, the issue had been fixed.

I only played a few hours of the first game and honesty, i dont know why? As in, why didnt i play more? Hmmm, maybe the combat or something? Games with heavy RP mechanics and realism immersion like this are absolutely amazing. Maybe i will go back and play the first one at some point but as of now i can NOT wait to play this game. It looks like a masterpiece.

the rain in my KCD 2 is not like this... is horrible, you can see like sliding transparent images moving with you while you move...
I hope we can turn off the crosshair.

The sound is perfect, but it looks awful, like an effect around the player not environmental.
Abit underwhelming that the ground foliage isn’t soaked etc& no before anybody starts this isn’t me bad mouthing the game 🤦🏻♂️

EDIT: the world in this game is just so realistic that some of us see things that are not perfect ;)

@@thewitness829 which is why I made sure I said I’m not bashing the game.. but fair enough you’ve put you’re point across without being rude. More than I can say for some people but for a game as realistic as this one i just expected it to be a thing, considering the ground is literally every where you go on the game.
