Jesus said if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, which is one of the smallest seeds, that He can grow it into a fruitful tree. Friend, please don't despair about your friend. God knows what He is doing and everyone's journey is different and I think that's to touch people personally with their testimony that no one else's story could. Even if it's one other soul. Keep praying for their wellbeing but because His wills it and because you trust in Him. When Peter heard of Jesus' demise, he said no and that he will not let them and begged it not to be so. Jesus said stand down satan. I think this is another very good lesson in the Bible to trust Gods plans. We must try but also not stress out but trust in Him. Living like a double edged sword is something Jesus spoke a lot about and can be used in many contrasts in life today and in the future. And also there are history movies that delve into it. Sometimes planting that mustard seed is the gift from God that people need so it can grow. Try to get her to read parts of the Bible that answer some of the mysteries of life that may intrigue her into reading the whole thing. Also we have to remember that Jesus himself said that he made some people for destruction as hurtful as that may be. I pray we all get saved. Praying for you sister. I used to smoke a pack a day for two years and vape incessantly two years before that. One day I felt God leading me to give up my cigarettes and I prayed to Him about helping me quit. Next moment I felt this great shift and He delivered me from the addiction! It was like He flipped a switch and I wasn't a smoker anymore. I knew He freed me from it and that I wouldn't go back. It was just so amazing. I'm over 5 months into my quit and I feel amazing. No crazy urges, I look at people smoking and feel bad for them. I'm still working on my lust for food, God hasn't taken that completely away for me but he has helped me tremendously avoid it. Anyway, just wanted to say have hope and trust in God, He really does deliver people from addictions and will help you out

I prayed for you ArcticWolf... I once had a problem with porn and fornication. The porn was very addictive. These lustful sins began to cause problems, I first wanted to stop. I prayed, then I did something very dangerous... I promised God I would stop. I knew if I made that promise I had to keep it, nothing else! And that promise did something because I no longer had the urge to look at porn again, it was all gone all of a sudden when I could not stop looking at it for years.
@@micahdh I once had the same problem it was addictive with ASMR and other nasty things. Till The Lord stepped in for all of us and now our problems are gone because we love you Lord Jesus Christ.

The reason God cannot be tempted is because there us no wickedness in him. The reason humans fall to temptation is not because of Satan.. it is because of our own wickedness within us. The key to overcoming temptation is NOT through self discipline (as Satan would like you to believe because he knows we cannot). The key is allowing Jesus to transform you. Allowing him to remove and cleanse the darkness within you. This video claims God wont do it for us, but I tell you God sent His only son JESUS to do just that! That who ever believes in His ability to cleanse them WILL be made clean just like the leper that Jesus made clean. The Leper did not use self-discipline to cleanse himself! He used FAITH! What you're saying makes perfect sense. Yet still the part about self control still stands true. Without bringing in self control and self discipline one would be expecting some kind of divine transformation or occurrence, sth beyond the norm but often this is not the case. Overcoming lust isn't a one day affair. A single prayer of faith is often not enough. What is required is one takes the initiative to avoid things that stir up lust WHILE AT THE SAME TIME building up your resistance to lustful thoughts and such by consistent prayer etc. The leper did not use self discipline, yes, but that was a physical ailment something he had absolutely no control over. But with lust it is not an ailment, it is an inborn desire. Something within a person, an emotion in fact and to some extent it is very much controllable. Self discipline comes in when you know a certain thing clearly provokes lust in you but still you stay away from it knowing that such a thing would defile your very person. Thank you
That is true. But God gives us the tools to use and we are expected to use them. One of the fruits of the holy spirit is self control. SELF - control . God gives us the power to overcome lust and nobody is tempted beyond what they can not overcome. overcome would imply that it is us who has to overcome it.

Remember the Bible verse in James: Submit yourselves to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. Those 2 steps must be followed in the same order. First, submission and then resistance. I admit not too long ago I just got baptized. And it's has changed my life. I'll also I admit I still make mistakes (obviously) And I beat myself up when I do any acts of sin. One sin still is a struggle I won't deny I not only have a lot of work but won't leave room to deceive myself. But as a whole I have done so much better ever since I have been walking in Jesus Christ path! And yes the mistakes I make you know is saying "Oh well it was just a sin who cares!" But I continue to ask forgiveness and his guidance even though I don't deserve it. But now I am honest to others and not resentful, selfish, and hateful. Yes, I need to do more but in the long run I know I am a holyer person than I was in the past before finally giving Jesus my heart and soul!

I was a die-hard addict to pornography, I had been ever since I was in primary school, I'm 24 years old now. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ delivered me from it, and, since taking my pursuit of him seriously, porn is just not important to me anymore. All praise to our Lord and Savior 🙌🙌.

The reason God cannot be tempted is because there us no wickedness in him. The reason humans fall to temptation is not because of Satan.. it is because of our own wickedness within us. The key to overcoming temptation is NOT through self discipline (as Satan would like you to believe because he knows we cannot). The key is allowing Jesus to transform you. Allowing him to remove and cleanse the darkness within you. This video claims God wont do it for us, but I tell you God sent His only son JESUS to do just that! That who ever believes in His ability to cleanse them WILL be made clean just like the leper that Jesus made clean. The Leper did not use self-discipline to cleanse himself! He used FAITH! He said “Lord if you are willing I KNOW you can heal me” and Jesus did! Brothers and sisters have FAITH! Without the Lord you can do NOTHING! Never forget that! Amen and God Bless everyone

What you're saying makes perfect sense. Yet still the part about self control still stands true. Without bringing in self control and self discipline one would be expecting some kind of divine transformation or occurrence, sth beyond the norm but often this is not the case. Overcoming lust isn't a one day affair. A single prayer of faith is often not enough. What is required is one takes the initiative to avoid things that stir up lust WHILE AT THE SAME TIME building up your resistance to lustful thoughts and such by consistent prayer etc.
The leper did not use self discipline, yes, but that was a physical ailment something he had absolutely no control over. But with lust it is not an ailment, it is an inborn desire. Something within a person, an emotion in fact and to some extent it is very much controllable.
Self discipline comes in when you know a certain thing clearly provokes lust in you but still you stay away from it knowing that such a thing would defile your very person.

That is true. But God gives us the tools to use and we are expected to use them. One of the fruits of the holy spirit is self control. SELF - control . God gives us the power to overcome lust and nobody is tempted beyond what they can not overcome. overcome would imply that it is us who has to overcome it.

Jesus is God. He's not just love he's WRATH!! HELL wasn't created for no reason. Many of you will NOT enter Heaven. Jesus DIDN'T die so you can continue to sin. Children of God DO NOT continue to sin. (1 John 3:9 GNT "Those who are children of God DO NOT continue to sin".) You're not a child of God if you haven't stopped sinning you're a sinner. Sinners will not enter heaven. Jesus saying ["but the one who DOES the will of my father who is in heaven"] reveals you have to do something to enter heaven. That something is the will of the father.

In my early Christian experience I didn’t know this but the only way to resist the temptation is to submit to God. Remember the Bible verse in James: Submit yourselves to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. Those 2 steps must be followed in the same order. First, submission and then resistance.

Especially today so many people think that because they don't think something should be that it isn't that way. Like how things really are hinges on our agreeing with it. People say "I don't think that there is a hell" or "heaven should be this way" like it is up to us. Heaven and hell exist because God created it that way and whether or not we agree doesn't change that. We submit to God not vice versa. The spirit of rebellion is the most prominent sin of the current age. I admit that I have been guilty of this but God has convicted me of the truth: that it's not up to us!

I admit not too long ago I just got baptized. And it's has changed my life. I'll also I admit I still make mistakes (obviously) And I beat myself up when I do any acts of sin. One sin still is a struggle I won't deny I not only have a lot of work but won't leave room to deceive myself. But as a whole I have done so much better ever since I have been walking in Jesus Christ path! And yes the mistakes I make you know is saying "Oh well it was just a sin who cares!" But I continue to ask forgiveness and his guidance even though I don't deserve it. But now I am honest to others and not resentful, selfish, and hateful. Yes, I need to do more but in the long run I know I am a holyer person than I was in the past before finally giving Jesus my heart and soul!
