Back in the 90s there was a story here in New York. A woman divorced her husband and got custody of their daughter. She began dating strange men and one of them raped and impregnated the daughter. The daughter kept telling the mom but she refused to listen. The teen daughter hung herself and the boyfriend went to jail. A year after the girl died the mother , her friends and a news crew went to the daughters grave. The ex husband jumped out of nowhere and emptied a clip of 9mm into the mother. He found out what happened and took out his revenge for the loss of his little girl.

@@jessegoodyear5547 Oh please! The mother can't keep the child from the father unless she kidnaps the child. It's called visitation and can be arranged to have the child transferred to the non-custodial parent at the court house. If the mother fails to show up she, ends up with a warrant for her arrest. Furthermore, that does NOT excuse the fact that deadbeats owe S113 BILLION in back child support. You are literally trying to claim that the mother is kidnapping the child and therefore fathers have no responsibility to support their children. Do you even think before you speak? It's clear you're overly emotional and hyper defensive about deadbeats.

I agree that is why I'm taking my time in choosing a partner and not be pressured by society to have kids coz" time is running out" . Also it's not only about mothers. Years ago when a man impregnates a woman he had to marry her because they understood the value of family. Nowadays well🙄. Women need to close their legs too and choose a partner wisely. I think alot of ladies especially in their 20s and 30s allow society to influence them into thinking they need a man right now or they'll be single forever. They don't look at the qualities of a man and if he values marriage and keeping a family. I'm not against getting married young I just believe everybody's life is different and not all women or men find the right partner in their twenties. Others find their right partners even in their teenage years so I find it abit funny when people all over the internet say find your partner in your twenties.
I also think it has made alot of people go astray and made wrong choices. I strongly believe if I gave in to that pressure I would probably be a single mother myself.

But a child need one man and one woman as parents.
If you believe two women or two men can do the same job as a man and a woman. Then you're not only wrong, but you're a lost case.
A child needs his mother until they are about 6-8yo, then the father is the most important parental figure. Without one of them, the child is guaranteed some sort of emotional failure in life.

When they find out abouty record, they always fire me. If I tell them ahead I get politely declined.
I paid for an $8000 mentorship, was in for two years. Became a leader in the community. When an ex gf deliberately told my mentor abouty record, they immediately kicked me out.

My parents stayed married until my brother and were adults and on our own then they divorced. They never fought but my mother really was a single mom because my father worked long and hard hours to provide us a good home. I am a single mother now of a very fine young man - he is in college. My son's father chose to leave the family but I always insisted that he will be a part of of our son's life and he is. I have told my son his father is a wonderful person. I never degraded his father to him. I never fought with his father. It is better for a person to be raised in a nuclear family but it is possible for a single parent to raise fine children. I know plenty of single fathers and mothers and they have wonderful children too. I know nuclear families and they have problematic children just as equally as they have wonderful children. Parents have to instill values into their children. And parents need to not only protect their children they need to provide them with skills and resources and if the child starts to act out the parent/s need to start looking for the cause. Is counseling needed, is God needed, is mental health needed, is interaction needed ...because some problems are beyond good parenting. We should celebrate parents that raise good children whether they are single or co-parent.

As a woman who has been married with kids and single with kids. who has both gotten government assistance and who makes too much to qualify I can say that this man is ignoring many factors that play into single motherhood. Most women who get divorced are because of the inequality in distribution of work load. In the 1950's the cost of living was low enough for a husband to work while the wife took care of everything at home. Today a husband would have to make over 6 figures to afford a household alone and most men do not. So now wives also have to work to contribute to the household income. However despite this women take care of most of the household needs. Which means both mom and dad have to wake up and go to work outside of the house. married women who work wake up before the household and go to sleep later to take care of everything needed.there are studies that show that even though more wives work outside of the home they still take care of 80% of the household needs. the households where husbands take care of 20% are few. Households where women stay married the husband is an active participant in the household workload. meaning he also does laundry cook dinner put kids to bed. So maybe if men are present in their households this trend can reverse. If your going to compare today to the 50's compare everything.

We were young so I understood. Father #2 was older and had a stroke. He is alive and maintains contact with his child but was not helpful in raising him. Father #3 had drug induced schizophrenia.
    Results of my adult children:
Child 1: 28M - 5'8" and 120 lbs, stock market trader, no criminal history, no children.

Child 3: 20F - 4'11" and 95 lbs, AS in biology while getting HS diploma, currently in school for RN, no criminal history, no children.
While I recognize that my situation is not normal it is not impossible. I have never asked for child support, I never asked for support at all. My view was that if they didn't want to be responsible, forcing them only breeds resentment.
How about address this absentee father mess with the sperm donors who avoid their responsibilities. While I recognize that In my youth, I didn't make the best decisions and chose the wrong men, I am not to blame for their behavior.
If I waited until I found my soulmate to have kids, I would never have any. I was 38 by the time I first got married. We have been together for 15 years and I am still very happy. We are both sterilized and done having kids. We never had any together.
Start rallying the forces and pressure men into safe sex practices until they are ready. Maybe it's the men who shouldn't have sex until they are married. Maybe it's the men who should receive training and coaching on how to be responsible. Maybe its the men who should be ashamed for their behavior. Maybe we should be pushing a pull out agenda instead of an anti abortion one.

Punish parental alienation, as the majority of those victims are men. End "No fault" divorce. Most importantly, make welfare temporary, 5 years max. Single motherhood is incentivized. Here in NYC, pregnant women will go into a shelter to get housing faster. When you can depend on the State to support your children, there is no incentive to act responsibly with your reproduction. They lock up men that can't afford their kids, but women that can't afford their kids get gov't assistance. The "systems" he referred to started with policies pushed by LBJ. It must end with policies.

They are the parent default custody was given to. There is a distinct difference. According to your logic if the father wants to be in that category he has to stay with the mother. We all know women file for divorce and break up the family the most, they just get to take the kids when they leave.
It isn't hating, it is just truth is being exposed and women don't like it.

Children from fatherless homes account for:
    *63% of youth suicides
    *90% of homeless/runaway youths
    *71% of high school dropouts
*75% of adolescent patients in substance abuse centers
*85% of children that exhibit behavioral disorders
*Girls from fatherless homes are more likely to be promiscuous/7X more likely to experience teen pregnancy
*80% of men who seggsually assault people come from fatherless homes and show misplaced anger.
*Children raised in single mother homes are more likely to encounter abuse.
This is exactly why ABW need to marry before they carry and choose better men to give children to. Being tall and having swag doesn't equate to being a good father.
To all non Pookie, law-abiding BM, is this what you want to clean up? Although unfortunate, we didn't make this mess and it's not our responsibility to fix it. My heart goes out to these children because they didn't ask to be in these circumstances. The reality is I'm not spending my life being a stepfather or clean up man for Pookie and Ray Ray nem. Family court creates this problem when they side with the mother 85% of the time. The news gets out. Every rational woman would go to court, with an 85% chance of winning...and every man would avoid court. And the court's bias ensures every divorcing couple would go through court, since it only takes one person to go to court. And the wife would usually be incented to go to court. And more couples going to court ensures more child support is awarded. And the courts then get incentives from the Federal Gov't for collecting more Child Support. Are we seeing the fraudulent scheme the courts are executing on our citizens?

I'm not disputing the statistics, or the deplorable state of child outcomes from single parent homes - however, please remember where some of this conundrum came from:
Back in the 70's & early 80's when divorce was becoming more popular, many wives were dumped for the hot young secretary and struggled to work full-time (usually at a low wage job), pay the bills, and take care of the kids (that dad might occasionally see on weekends for "fun time" ALL WITHOUT FAIR AND CONSISTENT CHILD SUPPORT BECAUSE THOSE LAWS WEREN'T ENACTED/ENFORCED YET. There were far fewer social "safety net" programs, and certainly NO subsidized childcare. Heck, even court ordered restraining orders weren't enforced. Being raised in this era and under these circumstances, I couldn't understand why my mother had to struggle to scrape by in a tiny apartment, feeding us Kraft Mac-n-cheese, while my father lived in a lovely big suburban house with the new girlfriend and had plenty to eat. My mother eventually stopped petitioning the court for justice because she couldn't afford the lawyer's fees anymore (no legal aid back then either).
I'm NOT saying that there aren't injustices against fathers in the courts today, but to please be aware of the many historical injustices done to moms & kids in the past generation.

Years later and my mother is in a rut: no man, bad health, loneliness (I live in another country with my husband and kids), not working, living on welfare afraid to come off because she really don't want to work and has low confidence now after all the previous men have left her. I feel bad for her, that the decisions she made are affecting her in her mid 50's now. I used to be her emotional crutch, but now she sees where she probably should have tried harder to get married and submit, as she's quite fiery in conflicts.
