- The Schneider Slider Rave ( amzn.to/2pDEQeD ) is a German retractable ballpoint pen. It's available in the US, but not very common so I recently picked on up for about $2 and have been using it. It's a bold ballpoint with a comfortable design and pretty nice ink. It's not my favorite retractable ballpoint (not by a long shot) but it's an OK ballpoint for office use.

I am actually a massive fountain pen aficionado. But I have finally buckled and gotten myself a Diplomat Spacetec Pocket and a Kaweco AL Sport Ballpoint since most papers in everyday use are optimised for ballpoints.

BTW iirc the “document” bit is legal information that the ink conforms to or exceeds ISO 12757-2 (for ballpoints, gel should have a different ISO designation but can’t recall that right now) standards so the pen is allowed to be used in pretty much all cases, including use in diplomatic, legal, and notary context.

It is either these or the basic Schneider Slider, they are really bold and write fast like these, but these are expensive because these are German made. My second go to would be the Uni Jetstream (rollerball) because they write fast and smooth too.
This might be my favorite refill. The Schmidt Easyflow 9000 Bold is as good but harder to find.
I have become a fan of your reviews after watching almost all of your pen reviews.....these are now relatively common in India...I bought one....please review Snider click pens with k15 refills ...it seems to a pen been there for ages

I know I keep asking these kind of questions on your channel...BUT....I am on a conquest to find the best xb ballpoint. So far I've figured out the BIC crystal 1.6 is definitely the most cost effective...but how does this compare? What is your favourite 1.6/xb ballpoint Sal?

Hey, Sal. One site describes this refill as a hybrid ink that gives you the best of the ballpoint and gel worlds. So how would you say it compares to the EasyFlow 9000? Is it as good? Thanks.

No. You can do a gel though
so are gel and rollerball cartridges not the same type/format? I thought they were all called G2 style refills
