How to use antique Music score covers. Making a trifold folio with vintage music paper.

Hi and welcome to Kate's Space. Today I am showing how I strengthened very old music score paper and created a trifold type folio with it.
I am lucky to have some beautiful music score covers but they are very fragile and brittle. This is how I make them a bit stronger so I can create things with this beautiful paper.

What a great idea to use tea-dyed tissue paper - it looks good! Like the idea of being able to use music score covers that might otherwise be thrown out. LOVE all those lovely keys!

Thanks Jennifer. Yes the tea dyed tissue is a great idea and works well. I’ve not attempted to tea dye any myself yet. Jo my sister did that lot.

What a pretty idea. I have lots of fragile music paper. I'm going to make some of these. The key is a neat little add on❤. Where do you get that skinny brown tape with numbers on it??? What is it for... originally?

Hi Andrea. Thank you. The brown paper tape is vintage German measuring tape. I was lucky to be given some. It’s hard to come by here 😊💙
