UPDATE: To use less paper - don't click CUT MARKS or LABELS when printing. Some people lose track of how to lay the pages out but if you start horizontal across the top 4 pages and then start the next row below it.

It’s not super difficult like I thought but it isn’t easy peasy either. It would take me probably over 4 hours to make. And gluing the balloons seems so tedious. So kudos to you and the party planner ladies that have made lots of them. It looks beautiful. 💖

Hey! I love this idea. My granddaughter will turn 2 later this week, so I'm eager to try it for myself. I even found the same balloon package is still available on Amazon, so the colors will be perfect, too!
I was afraid that because this post was 18 months old you wouldn't see my request for the template in time, so I started playing around on my own. I discovered that I can create a Word document, using any font I like. I then enlarge the number to the biggest font size that will fit on a single page. Using the Impact font, I found this to be 650.
I can then use the outline feature in the font "Text Effects and Typography" to have just the outline of the number. Once I have done that, I save the Word document, using the "Save As" feature to create a pdf document. Then I can use your tricks to print it as a poster. These saved me lots of time, frustration, anxiety, and printer ink!

what do u means, tape 3 20x30 cardboard together? glue them on top each other or glue them on the side for the cardboard to be longer and wider?
3 foam boards taped side by side to create the back of the number.
What's the size of the number after its been finished???? I mean length, depth and width ??
You can print 3ft, 4ft, 5ft or larger. After cut out they stand a little smaller than printed. Width is 6" but you can also adjust that as well.

If using outside I suggest weights. I used them on my USA and share in the blog post photos.
Probably a stupid question but how do you print the number ? Is there a specific printer you have to have ?
Just a regular home printer. Works on Mac or PC and any printer.

Hi! I was wondering how you prevent bigger pieces from tipping over? Do you have a stand?
I fill them tight with balloons at the bottom for support. The side pieces are 6" wide so they stand pretty well indoors. If outdoors I recommend a stand. Here is a video of one I made. ruclips.net/video/fS8r0T1YvvI/видео.html

Yes, for the back of the number. You can purchase larger boards but they are more expensive. These were from Dollar Tree so $3

Do the balloons stay inflated for a long time? How far in advance could you make this and it will still look good?
I recommend only filling the day before the event. Balloons start to deflate and become dull. It's normally not that noticeable but in a mosaic frame you can definitely tell.

Do the balloons deflate over time? My baby shower is in April and I wanted to finish my letter at least a couple weeks early.
Oh yes. You normally can't tell when they deflate but in the frames it shows up. Gaps start to form and the balloons become dull. I only recommend assembling the night before if you use a low temp glue gun and day of if glue dots. You can make the frame ahead of time.

Yes, I updated in the description of all my videos that I now use a low temperature glue gun that works so much better. Nothing moves for the days!

Do you have a link for the dusty pink balloons?
They were from a multi color balloon package BUT I just purchased similar ones for my heart mosaic. They are metallic and not sure how close in color but I just posted a pic on instagram and Facebook. I'll post the Amazon link on fbook comments if RUclips won't post it. What’s the reasoning for putting the balloons in there the night before?
If you do it sooner the balloons become dull and lose air. It doesn't look as pretty. I think if you do it the day of the event is kinda stressful. Totally your preference.
Instead of foam sheet can we use card board one?
You can but cardboard is corrugated and you see the edges. Foam board is solid inside. It might not look as clean.

Hi! Thank you so much for the post! I'm super excited! Is there a way to save on ink-I did greyscale and did not lines/markings, but it still took an entire cartridge. Also, is there a way to "hollow out" the fill color on the template and just print the border outline of the numbers? I know some pages would be blank, but if you just keep the pages in order that they print, the pattern will work itself out. Thanks for any ink saving ideas :)

Hmmmm that's weird. Can you send me a screen capture and I can try to help. You can also send the file to office max/depot or staples and they can print for you. I've heard it's inexpensive.

How does the balloons stay in place, did you tape them together?
She used glue dots or what I would use is pieces of tape or double sided tape
I highly recommend a low temp glue gun. I made the first few with glue dots but they don't hold in place very long. If you use the low temp glue gun (link in description) you can assemble a day in advance and they stay perfectly.

how you have stick those balloons
I used glue dots in the beginning but now I use a low temp glue gun. The balloons stay much better. Link in the video description.

Honestly I won't make it smaller than 3ft to fit balloons. I don't think 12" balloons would fit. I have a frequently asked questions post that shows how many balloons for the larger numbers.
